Colorado Department of Corrections Alerting Judges of Criminal Sentencing Errors - The Colorado Department of Corrections is auditing the sentences of its inmates looking for errors made by criminal courts throughout Colorado.  So far, errors have been found in 349 cases.  The errors range from mistakes made by judicial clerks when entering a sentence into their computers, to misinterpretations of the imposed sentence of a criminal defendant by Corrections officials.

The audit is only in the preliminary stages.  It comes as a result of the sentencing error that allowed for a parolee to be release early.  That parolee ended up murdering Corrections official Tom Clements.

So apparently Lindsay Lohan has left rehab and now refusing to do it.  She needs to be put in jail.  It is hard for me to advocate for that as a criminal defense attorney, but enough is enough.  Not a single client that I have represented in 14 years would ever have been given nearly as many chances as she has.

Lindsay Lohan at it again! - Again Lindsay Lohan demonstrates how she believes that she is above the law.  She was suppose to check into one rehabilitation center in N.Y. today, but decided that she would fly to California instead, with hopes of entering a different center.  One that allows smoking.  The Court has not approved this, and by making this decision, Lohan has violated the terms of her plea bargain that she made with prosecuting attorneys.  If the judge agrees, he can put Lohan in jail for 90 days.

If I am the judge?  I would have locked her up a long time ago.  Let's hope that the Court has the guts to actually treat this case as it would 99.9% of all other cases, and issues punitive sanctions.
