Lean in became a business motto a few years ago, taken from the title of the book, “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead” written by #SherylSandberg, the Chief Operating Officer of #Facebook, and Nell Scovell, a writer and Sandberg’s collaborator. In 2015, “lean in” also became the descriptor for an entire generation characterized as assertive and addicted to work. We can apply this to the real estate industry, its #leaders, #executives, and participants.

One of the major challenges for today’s #realestate leaders and executives is dealing with the rapidly changing industry environment and the equally fluid expectations of participants, leaders, and executives, especially those members of the #millennial or “Y” generation, the “leaning in” #generation.

Sunnyvale, CA. – April 26, 2017 – In an industry with serious data fragmentation issues, reshaping the real estate data environment is priority one at MLSListings Inc. The Silicon Valley technology platform for real estate professionals stands at the forefront of efforts to consolidate and share data within the real estate industry and has named Larry Knapp, one of California’s most well-known real estate industry leaders, for that effort.

Larry Knapp is joining MLSListings as vice president of Industry Relations. Knapp has managed four of the largest residential brokerage firms in the nation and has served in leadership positions in local, state, and national Associations of REALTORS®. He has also served as chair of the MLSListings Board of Directors. As an industry consultant, he has held a front seat to the challenges faced by brokerages today, and the need for MLSs to be an important part of solutions to those challenges. He brings that comprehensive insight to the MLSListings strategic mission in today’s increasingly competitive MLS world.

MLSListings has launched another data share agreement that will connect your business to the East Bay through the MLSListings platform as your single point of entry. We’re excited to announce you now have access to data from all the East Bay MLSs: Bay East Association of REALTORS®, Contra Costa County Association of REALTORS, and East Bay Regional MLS (Oakland-Berkeley) – without having to connect to separate MLS platforms. And that’s just the beginning!

As we continue to evolve our data sharing arrangements, we’re working to bring increased seamless business benefits to you. Using Listing Management as your single point of entry, your listings will automatically distribute to all data share partners at the same time. We are also collaborating with our neighboring MLSs to bring in open house information in the future.

Additionally, you are now able to see all East Bay listings in Matrix and on mlslistings.com (search by city, address, or ML#). We’ve already moved approximately 1.2 million East Bay listings into our system and we’re adding new and updated listings into Matrix as they happen. This provides your CMA tools with all the information they need to give you the most accurate CMA possible.

This agreement marks a major turning point for our industry in California. We have moved beyond political barriers to creating client compatibility for the entire MLSListings Subscriber Community. As a result of this data share agreement, your listings have more exposure than ever before. This agreement brings your listings to more than 30,000 additional real estate professionals in northern California. And with the added 80,000 brokers and agents in our current data share with CRMLS of Southern California, more than 100,000 California real estate professionals can view your listings just as you now have access to their property listings for your clients.

MLSListings is on the way to having the largest data share network in California with more data shares still to come. The MLS of Los Angeles and the Palm Springs Association of REALTORS data shares will become effective in late summer.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, March 30, 2017— Beginning April 3, 2017, over 30,000 real estate brokers and agents who belong to the Contra Costa Association of REALTORS® (CCAR), Bay East Association of REALTORS®, MLSListings, and East Bay Regional MLS will no longer be required to connect to separate MLS platforms to access and input property data, but will have unconstrained access to all listings originating from each of the four parallel systems.

Requiring just one log-in, this new streamlined platform will bridge the gaps that once separated data from each of the respective platforms.
