When Alice Brooks '10 was eight years old, she asked for a Barbie for Christmas. Santa brought a saw instead. “It worked out great. I ended up building a dollhouse,” she says.

Years later, she created the Roominate, a dollhouse construction kit that was featured on Shark Tank and named by TIME as the best toy of 2014 http://bit.ly/1IeUvEu

Despite being the first woman to earn her master’s in electrical #engineering from +Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)  it took Edith Clarke SM ’19 years to land a job in her field.

Clark went on to become the first female electrical engineer and is now being inducted into the National #Inventors Hall of Fame http://bit.ly/1aHxcpT
