It's a laudable prototype!  I can see there's work to be done in response time, motor startup and slowdown to reduce slosh, and the cord has to be addressed or it'll get run over.  Also, the software should be a little more interpretive so it doesn't respond to every tiny turn of the fish while still recognizing the fish taking interest in something outside it's bowl.  it would also be fun to try this on a goldfish and see if they handle it differently. Not many fish are hardy enough for unfiltered bowls but goldfish and siamese fighters are.
