Sometimes, gunfire can get a little too close for comfort, as MAF's Jon Cadd experienced last weekend...
The noise from the football game just down the hill from our house became so loud and exciting that Cher and I had to leave our little building project and go down to see what was so thrilling.   I...

Hi Supporter. This is the moment Simon and his family knew they were safe. Although their culture meant putting on their best clothes for their MAF rescue flight, this photo hides the family's terrifying ordeal. When brutal fighting by rebel groups spread to their village, they had no choice but ...

When I was a boy, it was my dream to be an aircraft mechanic. But my grandfather wanted to keep me in the fields because he was a farmer. "Don’t dream so far away!" he said – it would never happen. We had no money and no prospects. But I never stopped dreaming.
When MAF began in Madagascar in 1989, they took me on as a trainee aircraft mechanic. I’d never believed it possible, it was such an achievement!

Then, in 1991, Emil Kündig became Programme Manager. He had even bigger plans for me – he suggested I become a licenced mechanic. After long, hard training, I took the exam and passed. It’s a miracle! It’s been 25 years, and I love my job. I’m so happy my dream has come true.

It’s a gift from God. I thank MAF and really appreciate their work for my people who are poor.'

- Michel Rasolondranaivo, Malagasy aircraft maintenance engineer, MAF

#NepalEarthquake >> MAF is delivering emergency relief to Nepal's most isolated communities, inaccessible by road.

Thanks to our supporters, we are using light helicopters to enable dozens of relief agencies to reach those currently most vulnerable.

Please donate at www.maf-uk.org/nepal to help us continue to carry out life-saving flights.

Last November, typhoon #Haiyan struck the Philippines with winds of up to 171mph and a 25-foot storm surge. More than 6,000 people were killed and 5 million people's homes were severely damaged or destroyed.

MAF teamed up with New Tribes Mission to provide relief to some of the more remote islands affected by this disaster. | #ThrowbackThursday

Happy International Coffee Day! We hope you enjoy these photos by pilot Michael Duncalfe showing sacks of coffee being loaded into our aircraft in Papua New Guinea.

Many coffee farmers depend upon our planes to take their produce to market to earn a living. It's great to support the rural economy in this way.

#MAF Pilot Jason expected to spend the day celebrating his wedding anniversary. He ended up landing on one of the world's shortest and steepest airstrips to save the life of Naha, a young boy bitten by a death adder. What a day! >> http://bit.ly/1B8myRA
