Fair, objective, smart, dignified, everything that "news" seems not to be these days. RIP, Ms. Ifill. You were a giant among us. #GwenIfill #journalism
She was a North Star. To emulate her professionalism and treatment of others was to be on the right side of life.

Photo by Eric Ray Davidson "For me as an actor, it's about challenging myself and doing as many different things as I can. I don't know that I feel comfortable playing a villain; as a matter of fact I probably don't feel comfortable, which is why I like it so much. It's just an opportunity to try something different." - Jeffrey Dean Morgan via Interview Magazine

Fabulous article! Which kind of feminist are you? #feminism   #taylorswift   #kimkardashian    #HillaryClinton
Modern feminism should allow women to be more complex. So why do I constantly feel like I have to "pick" which feminist I am?

I'm in my 60s and love this time of life! What you lose in physicality you gain in mind and heart. What an amazing journey. I'm looking forward to the next thirty years.
Introduction

I write fiction about older people.

I'm an author and recovering HR executive. My midlife novel, Dakota Blues, is about a middle-aged workaholic who, suddenly unemployed and single, agrees to take a 90-year old buddy across the Midwest on one last RV camping trip. On the way she gains wisdom from fellow women travelers, wisdom that forces her to confront the way she has been living her life. I followed that with a collection of short stories for older people, Middle-Aged Crazy.

I blog about the wonder of the second half of life at my website, Any Shiny Thing.
