How was your Valentine's Day celebration? We always give loving surprises to each other as well as the little one. And then we also go out to dinner. We know restaurants are busy on this day, but we really don't mind. For us, it's part of the excitement.

And what I speak of is the city of Asheville, NC, and French Broad River, which runs through not only my hometown community but the entire city of Asheville surrounding me.

Rustic design for lighting like this gooseneck shown in the video never run out of style. What's more good about it is that it's totally affordable! And if you're looking for barn lights, they are the place to call! #warehouselighting #wholesalelighting #ad

On the day of Super Bowl 51, we didn't only look forward to watching the game, we also looked forward to having a special dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary! We always go out to dinner on special occasions and once again we checked out a restaurant that is new to us.

I recently noticed something I'd never seen during all the years I've driven over the bridge on Old Leicester Highway, locally known as the Craggy Bridge. At the head of each end of the bridge is a dedication plaque in honor of Major General Albert Boyd, dated Aug 1968. Read more:

After sharing with you the best of 2016 in family, food and travel, here's our first recap of the year. Some of the stories that we've shared in January happened last year, but our post schedule for December was so packed we couldn't fit them all in. And that's because there was just a lot to share with regards to our holiday trip. So without further ado, here's our January recap!

I was looking through the photos on my phone today and after seeing all these photos, I realized that I haven't shared about our trip to the light show last year yet. Some of these light images weren't all of a Christmas nature so I thought, why not still share it, right? Right!

I've been seeing and reading a lot about #Paleo recipes, but I never tried preparing one until last week. I knew my husband and son would love it because first, my husband loves seafood and sausage and so does my son. So this #recipe was perfect!

My hometown of Asheville, NC, is well known for its treasure chest of Art Deco architecture. And New York City, as well, is a plethora of Art Deco creations. Today, I'll concentrate on the sights we enjoyed in the Big Apple.

I am Catholic by faith and on our holiday trip to New York City in December last year, I made sure to put on our itinerary a visit to the famous St. Patrick's Cathedral.
