Sitting at Yahoo Music’s studio to perform two acoustic songs with her musical partner Garrison Starr, fearless comedienne, pop-culture provocateur, and all-around badass Margaret Cho is serving ‘90s realness – and not just because her surprisingly serious songs and flowy tunic wouldn’t seem out of place

Hey, hey, they’re the Monkees – and they’re back! Fifty years after they first entered America’s living rooms via their groundbreaking rock ‘n’ roll sitcom, 30 years after MTV’s Monkees reruns introduced them to a whole new generation, 20 years after the release of their last studio album, and four years

Love this woman.
(Shirley Manson at the 2016 KROQ Weenie Roast. This was a confusing and controversial week on The Voice, as two of Season 10’s more interesting and artsy contestants, Emily Keener and Owen Danoff, landed in the bottom two – with Emily ultimately going home in 12th place. A threee-time veteran of the Twitter Save, and an artsy type herself, Korin

Indio, California’s Coachella music festival got off to a shaky start Friday, with wild windstorms marring or shortening several sets (including what should have been a great standout surprise performance by Kanye West). Additionally, there were disappointingly low turnouts for several veteran artists

Thursday night, American Idol comes to an end, with a nostalgic, Nigel Lythgoe-produced finale featuring dozens of alumni from the past 15 seasons. To celebrate (or commiserate, because I’m actually very sad that the show is ending), Yahoo Music’s Reality Rocks is ranking the 50 coolest Idol finalists ever. Why “coolest”? Because for years, many skeptics and snobs have written off this show as just some corny karaoke competition.

The second annual RuPaul’s Drag Race convention, DragCon, took place earlier this month, drawing 23,000 people of all walks of life to the L.A. Convention Center to shante, stay, dress up, meet their favorite queens, and just basically get their life. It may have seemed like an odd booking choice, at

MacKenzie Bourg may have only placed fourth on this past, final season of American Idol, but in his own way, he emerged a Season 15 winner. Shortly after the 23-year-old Louisiana singer-songwriter left Idol in one of the series’ all-time classiest exits, in-house mentor Scott Borchetta offered to release

My #TheVoice recap is up. Enjoy the rainbow of range of my opinions! https://www.yahoo.com/music/the-voice-live-playoffs-night-1405798153691190.html
Just in time to fill the giant, gaping, blue-oval-shaped hole in my heart following American Idol’s series finale last week, The Voice Season 10 went live this Monday, with the contestants of Team Xtina and Team Blake competing for spots in the top 12 semifinals. Blake Shelton, nice guy that he is,

On Thursday night, American Idol came to an end after 15 seasons, crowning soulful farm boy Trent Harmon as its “Kelly Clarkson bookend” winner. Lovingly produced by the triumphantly returning Nigel Lythgoe (who helmed the show during its first seven classic seasons, as well as Seasons 10-12), Idol’
