Evening commuters journeyed home to Reading on 1 June 2015 in a deluge of rain, in spite of the blazing heatwave predicted by weather forecasters earlier in the day. Taxi ranks swelled, hopeful of a fare as commuters stepped off the trains on Monday.

Families gathered at Whitley Wood Fire Station to the south of Reading town centre for their Open Day on May 27, 2015. Crew demonstrated the danger of fire with real-life scenarios. Children also enjoyed sitting in the fire engines.

Many guests attended the annual Mayor Making at Windsor's Guildhall on 26 May 2015 as Councillor Eileen Quick and Councillor Sayonara Luxton were formally selected as Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Councillor Quick's father and grandfather are past Mayors.
