'Sometimes'... it's good for brands to be transparent about what they DON'T do or offer. E.g. this FAQ below is from my website--a little unusual but in my world where "marketing" means many things, I try to ensure I'm attracting the target I've designed my brand for. Just an example of another way to "talk" to prospective buyers (depending on your business). 

"Who is NOT a good fit for you as a client?
If you are an "idea" person, know exactly what you want for your Marketing and simply need a person to execute, I'm probably not the best resource for you. I am a B2B marketing strategist and consultant, so when you already know what you want to do it's often better to hire a general contractor or specialist who can "take an order" and implement it according to your specifications."

Dear B2Bs: Get creative with your content (for goodness sake). 

Compelling and interesting stories is half the battle; it’s equally important to consider the design ‘structure’ and ‘look’ of each content piece to help convey the message visually and to stand out from the competition. May wanna rethink your investment in design for 2015.    #b2bmarketing #contentmarketing

Try to resist the temptation to decide all these elements based on internal opinion and guesswork—rarely does that work out without spending more money later because your audience rarely thinks about what you do and offer the way that you do. :)
