So after a summer filled with a commissioned project, and a two-month show at a Federal court building in San Francisco, I'm back to painting things for myself.

Open Studios is November 5th and 6th. Nothing is scheduled to be loaned out, so I'm considering building some pegboard walls to hold all the pieces.

I have no idea whether this will be done or not, but I'm digging all the parallel lines.

This one was just barely dry when I shipped it off. The curtain is the best thing I've painted all year.

This is in progress and I'm still never able to get enough time to paint. Not that I'm complaining. I have a good job and a couple side gigs. On this coming Sunday, I'll be gallery sitting at Gallery 24, in downtown Los Gatos, because I'm an exhibitor there now.</update>

Over 25 artists will open their doors in a studio complex which spans two warehouses just west of downtown San Jose. This event happens on both Saturday and Sunday, 11am-5pm. Parking is free in our lot and on the street.

The roof insulation is falling down in my studio this week, so I went to Peet's to sketch their display shelves.

The processed image of the screwhorn antelope looks an awful lot like a way to map brushstrokes.

Charcoal on canvas- these will be painted on soon. Due to the last month or so having about three shows plus an Open Studios Event, very little real work went on in the studio.
I have a solo show next year, so I need to produce things. These are too small for the end goal, but they'll make good warm-ups.
