Was contacted to come in with my antique jewellery, under the impression that this man knew about antique jewellery. Also, I was under the impression that this establishment was cash for jewellery. (I specifically asked that question) NOT cash for gold/silver. These are 2 completely different things. Cash for jewellery is also eluded to on their website. I was offered $40 for a $1,500 Georg Jensen bracelet, a $500 Peruzzi Necklace and $400 Peruzzi bracelet, Sterling bangle, And 2 pieces of Siam Niello, vintage jewellery. And this man knew nothing about antique jewellery. I had the feeling that once he saw the pieces, he changed to "cash for gold/silver" to get the pieces for the cheapest price, only to turn around and sell them for the names and stones... Which is pretty much cash for jewellery. I was misled and lied to and they tried to completely cheat me. Anyone who gave this establishment 5 stars, is most likely affiliated with the owner, or works there. I am sure this isn't the first time they tried to pull this, or gotten away with it. That’s wonderful to hear Mr. Williams. Thank you for the positive review, and you are more then welcome to return if you have any future needs in selling a watch in NYC.

The last place if you want to sell your gems for a good price, the attention is terrible everything bad... the dealer smells bad and was to stolen
Response from the owner - 4 months ago
Mr. Duke, we take our reviews seriously at Luriya, and aim to provide the best customer satisfaction when purchasing precious gemstones. We have kept track of all customers via appointments or walk-ins and have not seen your name listed. Please refrain from writing false negative reviews unless you have personally visited us and had an appointment. Thank you.

My husband and i found their website on Google when we were looking to sell some of my old jewelry. We came to their office in the diamond district to show our jewelry to their appraisers. With in ten minutes we walked out with cash in hand. Got a little more than we expected. Thanks guys it was a pleasure.

Today I had a successful appointment here with Fima, the appraiser. He and the welcoming staff, Andrew and Priya, were very professional, efficient, and very fair. I did my research before coming in, and I know that I got the right purchase price for my Canadian Maple Leaf gold coin. I would definitely return, if I am ever so fortunate to come into ownership of another gold coin. It's right in the Diamond District, near all the trains. Good luck...

I worked with the folks at Luriya to sell a large gemstone I had. It was all in all a very positive experience, and I highly recommend them. One thing I really appreciated is they ALWAYS answer the phone, which is rare these days. Feedback and counsel was excellent! These people know their business, and it shows.

They bought an old palladium ring of mine. While the price I wanted wasn't given, they were professional and handled everything correctly.
