Terrible photos from #Colorado, #USA by my friend Ana :)
These are some of my favorite photos that I took on a 2-week roadtrip in Colorado in June 2015. It was hot, cold, dusty and sunny; Colorado is a beautiful place and I really want to come back in the fall for those gorgeous aspen fall colors! :)

Rainy morning in village Rut - a few photos on my blog...
Recently I visited a small village Rut on the Southern borders of Triglav National Park. With my family we visited friends and stayed there overnight. All night it was raining heavily. Morning was misty, peaceful and walk around the village was delight.

Award winning landscape & travel photographer based in Slovenia.
Introduction
Luka Esenko is an award winning landscape and travel photographer based in Slovenia. Luka has travelled to over 50 countries around the globe and has plenty more on his ‘go to’ list.

Somewhere along the way a passion for photography took over; what started as an enjoyable hobby became a way of life and he has established himself as one of the leading landscape photographers in Slovenia as well as an expert in running photography tours and workshops in his home country, Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro and the wider Adriatic region.

It wasn’t all glamour in the early days. Having completed a degree in Management & Organisation at the University of Ljubljana he worked his way up in the tourist industry starting as a tour guide. Luka attributes his finely honed navigational skills, survival instinct and ability to remain calm in the face of any crisis to his time spent guiding student and budget tours in Morocco, Greece and Turkey followed by a challenging stint in events management.

Luka established his own tour company Adriatic2Alps in 2008 and through this and his own personal photography is able to share and revel in his passion for nature, outdoor life in general and the mountains where he is at his happiest.

Strong compositions and a feel for natural light, together with a determination to find his own shot in both everyday scenes and iconic locations are what make his images stand out. He’ll think nothing of a 5-hour walk in temperatures of – x degrees to reach a summit at x meters in time to capture the first light on some of the most impressive peaks in the Julian alps. He might even make it back down to the Adriatic coast for a seascape at sunset if he’s lucky. This is all in a day’s work for a Slovene landscape photographer.

Team Esenko continues to grow. He works with a number of talented photographers through Adriatic2alps and his recent work has led him to collaborate and co-host photography tours with a number of internationally renowned photographers; Jonathan Critchley (UK), Jeremy Woodhouse (UK) and Tim Vollmer (Germany) to name just a few. His work has featured in National Geographic, in various photography magazines, travel guides and online media and is regularly sought after by the Slovene Tourist Board.

Luka’s girlfriend, Neja, long ago learned not to be jealous of his close relationship with his Nikon X. Instead she has embraced the spirit of a photographer’s life on the go and often accompanies Luka on his travels. They live in Ljubljana and are always dreaming of their next adventure together, although their 3 cats are not so keen on this nomadic lifestyle!
