My first impressions

I have been playing on iPhone for a very long time now. I'm used to the iOS UI. So when I opened QONQR Blue on Android for the first time I was totally lost. The user interface is completely different, at least for me. Not sure whether it looks more similar to the Windows Phone version though.

Particularly difficult was the launcher wheel. I did not recognise any of the icons. I had to turn the wheel step by step to find out the names of the launch formations. Perhaps it would be a good idea to keep the well known icons for each formation type?

It took me sometime to find the nanobot/energy refilling bars as well. They are located on the bottom of the screen on iOS, but on QONQR Blue they are located on the top.

I also had problems with the location. GPS could not find my location at first, I had to go to Android Settings > Location  and change the mode to High accuracy. EDIT: I just found out that there's a high accuracy setting inside the QONQR app as well, maybe changing this setting would be enough.

On the other hand, I like the fact we have access to the tactical information without having to lauch any bots. That's cool. Also, the region chat rooms are a nice touch.

Is it just me or QONQR Blue looks a lot like Ingress?

That's it for now. I will keep adding my impression here later.

Hmm. The app couldn't be found on the Play Store. Is it only available in the US?

Also, I work for one of the biggest telecom companies in the world, my phone needs to have the developer menu activated all the time. Perhaps this beta is not for me then.

Anyway, no worries, I can wait for the final product!
