I just like this story, showing how sometimes people trying to ban something only get the opposite result.

Big props to these Idaho cops for not going all "Fahrenheit 451" amid citizen censorship.
Parents in Idaho called the cops last week on junior-high student Brady Kissel when she had the nerve to help distribute a book they'd succeeded in banning from

+Laszlo Bock I'm currently reading WorkRules! which is really cool (after having read How Google Works a fair few times).

But I'm going to nitpick today ;-). The result should be 5,966,290,435 unlike the repeat of f(4) shown here.

At least mkaz.com says so!

#fail . The answer provided bottom is for the puzlle above the one pictured, whilst the correct answer - which isn't the one mkaz.com pointed to came on the next page.

At least I'm proving to the Internet that I am reading the book :D.

Very good indeed.

I'll clear my brain of thought germs now and will go back to work :D - mind you I may still get infected there ;-).

Not sure if this will pan-out, but having automated small size transportation would be a great thing.

This sounds very much like somethings I have read in futuristic books and saw on movies during my youth :D.

Can't wait for #TMRO.

Self-driving cars whiz through traffic and deliver us all to our destinations safely and more efficiently than we're currently able to do in our manually driving vehicles.

A study shows that it could reduce vehicle crashes in the U.S. by 90 percent. That in turn would save nearly $200 billion a year from costs associated with injuries and death.

I like Withing badge for life long elevation as they teach us about mountains around the world.

I am wondering whether there'll be any badges past Mount Everest!

Olympus Mouns or other extra terrestrial peaks?

Just in case you didn't hear about this, it's big news. A lot of companies -- Panasonic, Samsung, and others -- have shown off prototypes of consumer home battery systems over the years (I've seen many at CES since about 2010), but nobody will make an impact in this space like Tesla will. While utilities have been dragging their feet to upgrade our national electrical grid to better support local generation (e.g., solar and wind), this could tip them over the edge to real action.
Tesla has finally taken the wraps off Tesla Energy, its ambitious battery system that can work for homes, businesses, and even utilities. The system breaks down into two separate products: the...

Very interesting time from another Talks @ Google.

Gave me lots of ideas to happly with my girls (the 2 little one and possibly the grown up - but the last bit will have to be very subtle ;)).

Thanks again +Google for bringing such great content online.

I stumbled upon this video.

The Pucnh line: you'll look at the 3D shadow of a 4D object - for real.

This is really cool, specially when it comes to Moebius loops (and all the practial stuff I'll be doing with Sophie this week end) or the Klein bottle :D.

I don't know why but I'm quit onto cubic buildings nowadays... This one was nicely sun lit yesterday evening, so Google auto-awesome worked out very well.
