... I'm regretting never deleting this.
Yes it was for extra credit.
Mr. Zehr still loves to make fun of me for it.

I was excited to see that the new connectivity software is up!

It looks like I need to update my TI-84 Plus CE review since the new TI-Connect software is up after all.
Free connectivity software for the TI-84 Plus family of graphing calculators.

I'm very sorry to see the TI-84 Navigator system go. It was a groundbreaking system, but its legacy will live on in the TI-Nspire Navigator.

During a recent chat with TI reps it came up that the TI-84 Silver Editions (including the C) are out, and so is the TI-84 Navigator platform
With a platform that's been around as long as the TI-84, which is in and of itself the evolution of the TI-83 (launched in 1996), we're bound to see models com

Good luck to the Morton math team at the Illinois state finals today. I couldn't attend but appreciate the pic.

Incredible how popular this calculator line has been for so many years. For some, it's already time start thinking about their 2015-16 school year budget and what gadgets will be included.

I'm wrapping up "84 week" with my review of the TI-84 Plus CE.
The most popular graphing calculator model line ever, the TI-84 Plus, continues to evolve for the 2015-16 school year. Barely one year after the TI-84 Plus

A good reminder to keep your operating system up to date.

A handful of TI-84 Plus CEs are shipping with a bug that has an update to the new CE operating system on the way sooner than expected.

If you haven't picked up Silver's book, "The Signal and the Noise," it's terrific. I'm reading it now. http://bit.ly/1OMj0sr

Introduction
Grew up in a small town south of Peoria, IL. Played in the University of Illinois Marching Illini while getting a bachelor's degree in mathematics and master's in mathematics education. I started teaching math right out of school, with some of my best experiences coming as the coach of the math team at Morton High School (finished with a 5 year streak at the top public school in Illinois and a state championship in 2012). I've also become an authority on the TI-Nspire graphing calculator and software. I've written a couple of Kindle books about it and have a blog that features lots of information about the Nspire.

After 13 years in the classroom, I've recently made the jump to the corporate world. I'm now working in a data science role at a Fortune 50 insurance company headquartered in the Midwest. I'm one of the first crop of students to complete the new Johns Hopkins Data Science Specialization on Coursera. My studies there focused on R. I'm looking forward to learning more about Python and Hadoop as I begin my work in industry.

Somewhere along the way, I also lucked into marrying the girls of my dreams, who although less captivated with mathematics and technology, has been willing to accommodate my interests. We have two wonderful little girls and attend Imago Dei Church in Peoria, IL, where I am a part of the leadership team.
