We enjoyed a good meeting tonight. Brother Steve Bloyd was blest to use the scriptures to preach on faithful witnesses from his life.

Join us tomorrow at 10 AM for singing, prayer, and preaching by Eld. Steven Bloyd of Bel Air, Maryland & Eld. Mike Rodgers of San Antonio!

Join us for our special worship services this weekend!

Twenty-five years ago, the Lubbock church ordained Brother Mike Rodgers and Brother Steven Bloyd to the ministry in a joint ordination service. This weekend, 25 years after that joint ordination, the Lubbock church has invited the two ministers to be the guest speakers at the church's 2016 annual meeting.

The Lubbock annual meeting will begin with a sandwich supper at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, followed by a 7 p.m. worship service. The meeting continues on Saturday, July 16 with a 10 a.m. service followed by lunch and an afternoon service. There will be no Saturday night service, but a time of fellowship is planned. The meeting concludes with a 10 a.m. service Sunday, July 17 followed by lunch.

The meeting is held in conjunction with the opening of Harmony Plains Singing School at Cone, Texas, about 50 miles northeast of Lubbock, which has its opening session on the evening of Sunday, July 17.

Elder Rodgers is the current pastor of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in San Antonio, and Elder Bloyd is the current pastor of Mt. Carmel Primitive Baptist Church in Bel Air, Maryland.
