It is a shame that there is not a zero star rating. This is one of the singularly most incompetent firms around. I was expecting a delivery and the staff at this nightmare of a firm see nothing wrong with telling you that you have to sit at home for 12 hours because they will not give you any indication or "window" of when the package might be delivered. I begged the shipper not to use them because I, and my neighbors, and some contacts, have all had bad experiences with LSO. In the end they did not deliver and did not even have the courtesy to call and say they were not coming. Their fairly primitive website indicated that the non-delivery was due to "Operations caused delay" and so I called to get a translation. The first person with whom I spoke (after 11 minutes on hold) told me she could not find out what the issue was. The second person, to whom I explained that I had been previously told to wait until 8pm, replied, and I quote verbatim, "We don't deliver that late our guys sometimes just get tired and stop delivering late afternoon". She was unable to tell me when delivery would take place. So the next morning I called and again spoke with the very unhelpful Jessica (who had promised to call me the previous morning but didn't). She attempted to tell me that she was just about to call me. When I asked he what she was calling about she told me she had to check on something again - so another 6 minutes on hold. She came back on the line and told me that the package was not delivered the evening before because, yes you guessed it, "There was an operations caused delay." When I enquired what that meant she told me she didn't know. She then proceeded to tell me that she could not tell me when the package would be delivered and that I would have to stay home all day --- again. I asked her, Do you see anything wrong with this picture?" and in true LSO fashion she did not. I called the shipper and told them to recall the package and until they found another delivery company we could not do business. I have had problems with LSO before. Actually I don't ever remember a delivery running smoothly. The one overwhelming impression I come away with, after hours on the phone with this firm, is that no one there gives a you know what. Judging by these other reviews I think others feel the same way.

I had a Texas State Government Agency rush deliver my birth certificate. I was unaware they were using Lone Star Overnight. To my surprise, Friday morning I receive a delivery confirmation email indicating my package was received at 9:00am. Funny thing I was outside all morning working from my garage. I called customer service and they told me to check with my neighbors (so embarrassing) for my package. I went house by house knocking on their doors asking if they had seen said package. No one had seen it. Luckily this company doesn't open on the weekends. I had to wait until Monday morning to call only to tell me to wait for a call back. The call back confirmed the package was indeed misdelivered to a wrong address and requested that I go to that address to find the package with my birth certificate. The resident stated no one had been by nor had any items been delivered under my name to their address. I now await another day without the whereabouts of my birth certificate.

Have used LSO for years. I have had no trouble with their service. They have always lived up to their stated commitment. I find there people are courteous helpful and knowledgeable. I have actually had less trouble with their service that I have with FedEx

I recently used LSO and their driver went what I consider above and beyond in making sure my package got delivered. My client wasn't always open to sign for a package and LSO driver tried to deliver multiple times until their office was open. It saved me an entire day of travel if I had to go to Houston and wait for my client to show up. Their drivers are awesome people.

I am a very dissatisfied customer and this is why.... I had order a delivery that had to arrive by the next morning, because this was urgent I paid $25 to have it arrive between 8am and 11am. I had called the company that the package was being delivered from and told them can you let the postal company know that it has to be dropped at the leasing office, someone will be there but if for some reason they are not then there is a drop box right next to the door. This company said not a problem we can put a note on the package. At 10:20am that morning I stared to call and track the package. Called the leasing office to see if it has been dropped off. they told me no one has drop off anything and they even checked the drop box... nothing. I asked if they had left the office, nope, they had been there all morning. Then I tracked it with LSO and guess what it said Attempted 12/15/2015 10:12 AM HOUSTON Attempted, where would they have attempted... I just talked to the leasing office 10 min after they "attempted". I called LSO and they said no one was home, I was so pissed. I asked what the policy is for a gated apartment complex and she told me they drop off at the leasing office. This is completely unacceptable. I told her the driver must of not attempted the leasing office because I just talked to them and no one was there. basically after getting pretty pissed off and telling the women she needs to make that drive turn around and drop off at the leasing office, the package was delivered at 12:42. Now because of LSO I didn't meet the deadline that this was needed for and have bigger issues to deal with. The worse part I think is when I actually got the package... this whole time I was thinking maybe the note to deliver to the leasing office didn't make it on to the package (which is no excuse because that should have been done regardless of the note). The worse part is what was written on the package in all capitals! THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE WRITTEN ON THE FRONT WITH MY PHONE NUMBER!!!!! Therefore this driver just decided, meh I don't feel like doing that today... I just don't feel like doing my job and following the instructions written on a package.

I have never received a package shipped through LSO on time! Apparently they only deliver on business days while everyone is at work....Amazon REALLY needs to find a better shipping service to use.

I kept missing the delivery person because they kept delivering while we were at work (not really anyone's fault). I called them and asked them if we could just pick up the package. They found the package, actually called me when they found it and set it aside behind the front desk. Everyone I talked to was super pleasant. Great experience especially compared to my encounters with UPS, who have a 30 minute pick up window of time and never know where your stuff is.

Terrible service. Failed 4 times to deliver a package on the date or time frame they promised.
