Annotations in Google Analytics allows you to add context to your reports.
When you’re looking at your data inside Google Analytics it can be difficult to remember exactly what was happening on particular days. You might see a massive spike for a campaign or a seasonal dip for a local holiday. Now you might be able to open your calendar and do a quick check, but if you’re like me, then you probably don’t have every single campaign written down neatly (or in my case anywhere at all). This is where annotations...

We're showing you how to accurately track your inbound marketing campaigns using campaign tags. Jump on the blog to learn what they are, how to use them, naming conventions and if there's anything you shouldn't tag.
Google Analytics campaign tags, also known as UTM tags allow you to compare the performance of your custom marketing initiatives. When you combine campaign tags with conversion metrics, like goal completions or transactions, you can pinpoint what’s working (and not working) when it comes to your marketing. This means you can inform your strategy moving forward and even reallocate your budget to campaigns that are delivering the best r...

How are your Google Analytics goals traveling this year? In early January we wrote a guide to getting your analytics objectives in order. Why not do a quick health check to make sure you’ve kept on track and are fulfilling your 2016 goals?
It’s no coincidence that your New Year and your analytics setup are filled with goals (well at least they should be). Pulling in from the ‘New Year, new me’ attitude we’ve been surrounded with lately, we’re exploring ways to give your analytics account the TLC it deserves.

The Australian federal election tomorrow means that there are dozens of parties vying for our vote in dozens of different ways. Online, they’re doing it with search, ads and of course their website. As lovers of data, we decided to evaluate the official websites of all the parties on the NSW senate ballot. Check out the findings in our latest blog post.
With the Australian federal election tomorrow, there are dozens of parties vying for our vote. Online, they’re doing it with search, display and video ads and of course their website. But not all party websites were made equal in terms of being ready for a digital marketing campaign in 2016. We thought it would be interesting to evaluate the official websites of all the parties on the NSW (because our office is in that state) senate bal...

Working in such a small team, we sought the help of Loves Data to build our Adwords component of our campaigns and also assistance with Google Analytics (the whole thing needed to be set up). Loves Data have been such a great company to work with as they are innovative and provide data-driven recommendations that consider the entirety of our marketing goals. Our marketing campaigns are targeted and high performing plus the reporting post campaign has been excellent so that we can report to management very easily and effectively. I just booked my tickets to the next conference too, see you there Loves Data!

Horrible rude staff. We had to chase them for a whole month before finally getting a hold of someone who said their trainers refuse to work with us without even giving the tinniest notion as to why. We were happy to pay the $10,000 fee for one day of on site training and I find it absolutely appalling the way we were treated considering the amount of money we were going to spend with them. Cannot believe businesses like this can actually function
