Showed up with mom and dad, who were in from out of town, at 3:15 pm on a gorgeous and sunny day. The patio was not completely set up, but with the weather being as nice as it was, I figured it would be worth asking if we could sit outside. The hostess replied the patio wasn't open. When I asked what time the patio opens, she said "this afternoon." I asked, "could you be more specific?" She said "maybe around 4:00." As the three other employees hovering around the host station looked at me as if I were asking for one of their kidneys, we decided if we wanted to dine-in, or go elsewhere. At no point in the 60 seconds we stood there debating whether to stay or go did anyone from the restaurant offer any alternatives such as, "if you would like to order your food and have a drink at the bar, we can set up a table for you," or anything to that effect. We decided to leave. Based on the experience, I won't be returning to Lou's. Shame, because I really do enjoy their food and have dined there many times in the past.

Arrived at 9 pm on a Friday. We placed our "advanced" pizza order at the counter and waited...and waited...and waited. It took about 80 minutes to get a seat for two so late in the night. We ordered a single small pizza which took some more time to come out. The Spinach salad was like any other and the pizza was ok. Lots of cheese. I mean, it's like someone took a cube of it and melted it over the pizza. The "sauce" is just diced tomatoes. I would not return here. I bet there's a better deep dish experience in Chicago.

The deep dish was okay. The server was not good at all. Always forgetting what i was drinking when i asked for a refill. We had couple of slices leftover and he forgot to give us our food back after he went to box it up. We had to remind him about our leftovers. When me and my girlfriend come home, we see there is only one slice in the box. To top it off, it wasnt even our pizza. I dont remember ordering sausage pizza. Im Never going back.

We came here to let our friend from new york try our famous lou malnati's pizza. He enjoyed it and the service was awesome! The manager and Amy (our server) were very accommodating and friendly. They provided us with excellent costumer service! I will go back here again and will invite more family and friends to try it as well. Overall experience was amazing like their brownie sundae! Amazing!

The wait when we went was EXTREME, well over an hour. They do let you pre-order so we did do this. The wait staff was ok, I didn't think they were very attentive. We ran out of drinks and had to flag him down for boxes and the tab. This is not my favorite type of deep dish either. I've had pizza at Gino's East and much preferred that to this one. This one seemed very heavy to me with more of a heavy doughy crusty then a light & airy crust. The sausage comes as one big piece of sausage covering the entire pizza. As other's have said also, the sauce is really just quartered tomatoes and I prefer a sauce. The cheese bread was really good though. I wouldn't go back.

A Bit Of A Late Review, Because I Came Here Last October Of 2014. We Seated Very Promptly, Our Server Was Great & We Got Our Food Promptly. We Ordered The Lou Malnati's Chicago Classic. The Sausage & Cheese Was Delicious. However, I Wasn't A Big Fan Of How Much Tomato Chunks Were On The Pizza. I Wouldn't Even Call It Sauce. It Was Just Large Tomato Chunks. The Temperature In The Dining Are Was A Little Too Chilly. However, I Guess You Can't Please Everyone. The Ambience Was Great, The Location Is Very Convenient & I'd Definitely Come Back. A Must-Have In Chicago.

Its good. I think this place is a bit more hyped than what it deserves. Maybe I need to try more of their pizza but my experience was that of a good, local restaurant. Not a must try experience. If you're in Chicago and you don't make it to Malnati's, don't sweat it. Life will go on.

Best pizza and salad I've ever had. The two of us split a small Malnati Chicago Classic pizza and a Malnati salad. Perfect amount of food. Very friendly and attentive staff and amazing food.
