Well, it has certainly been a while since I was here. Sorry for my absence, but I have been a little busy. Time has really been getting away from me lately. I hear that is a symptom of getting older, even if I refuse to believe that I am getting old, I have to admit that I am not sure where the year has gone. This year has been rather devoid of conventions for yours truly. I have attended zero. Every time I think about reaching out ...

Seriously, you are so lazy. Writing a book and keeping up with a blog should be super easy!

Today was the 5th anniversary of my first novel appearing for sale on Amazon. I even wrote a blog post about it.

http://www.louispuster3.com/blog/2015/1/wracks-birthday

Doesn't feel like it has been this long. I am glad that my life allowed me to actually accomplish it.
In 2005 I started writing something. That something was a simple few pages for something else, but it left me with a question. A hole into a world that was not the original world that I was writing about. I blew off the curiosity that I had for that other place, those other characters. I tried to ignore it. That didn't go as I had planned.

News and stuff about my next story bit. No, +Bruce Hunter  it isn't the third book in the Ukumog series yet. Calm down.

http://www.louispuster3.com/blog/2014/8/shadow-of-a-pyramid
Right. So, the Shadow of a Pyramid story got a little longer than I expected. My goal was a short story, and as Morgan, my editor, pointed out, "Once you cross 20,000 words it is technically a novella." I had planned on putting the story up on this site as a something people could come and read here, but now it seems a little long for this format. A narrowly formatted page on this site might not be a great way to read it. Instead ...

A few hours ago I received an email from JukePop.com, a serial publishing site. For those of you who don't know, serial publishing is where an author puts up work chapter by chapter and allows for people to read, comment, and subscribe to their work. They sometimes put portions or the entire book behind a paywall so that you have to pay to read it. JukePop is a website and an app, allowing people to read things on the go, and they se...

Hi everyone!

Just a quick reminder: You can purchase my books on Amazon!

The Saga of Ukumog is a dark fantasy series set in a world where the good guys didn't win. I often describe it as "Tolkien meets Stephen King with a touch of H.P. Lovecraft thrown in for flavor."

The first book is Wracked: http://tinyurl.com/m5ppuu5
The second is Desecrated: http://tinyurl.com/mnr5qy6

There is a related novella series too, of which there is only one book so far: http://tinyurl.com/l55tsd9

These books are available in paperback or on the Kindle.

If you read and enjoy them, please leave a review on Amazon, Goodreads, or anywhere else that might share your excitement about the series with others. Reviews mean the world to indie authors like me.

Right!  So, I haven't been posting or reading here very much lately.  Sorry about that.

For those of you interested in what I have been doing:  I have been writing.  Yes, I know I blather about this all the time.  But something happened yesterday.  I kinda finished the story I was working on.

Sure it was just a short story that may have morphed into a novella, but hey!  It is kinda done and in the editing stages.  Kinda neat!

Next up: More work on book 3 of the Ukumog series.
