I'm also going to miss WebSQL. Even though it was pretty much abandoned, I still used it in my final year project because IndexedDB looked very uninspiring, especially with its ugly nested callbacks.
The next time I have to built anything that would require client-side storage, it would take some convincing in order for me use IndexedDB.
