Happy birthday Gerhard Berger!

Part of the Enstone family in 1986, 1996 and 1997 with Benetton, winning two Grands Prix for us: Mexico in 1986 and the 1997 German GP!

#‎GuessThePart‬!

We want to know what part of a Formula 1 car you think this is AND what year / which car it's from. Be as SPECIFIC as you can.

Only cars from 'Team Enstone' will feature, from the past eight years (so 2007 onwards).

Whoever answers correctly can pretend for a whole 30 seconds that they were the ones driving our E23 Hybrid when it finished third in Spa.

Good luck!

Lotus F1 Team; Home to Romain Grosjean, Pastor Maldonado & the E22 Formula 1 Car
Introduction
Lotus F1 Team began Formula 1 in 1981 as Toleman Motorsport before being renamed as Benetton Formula In 1986 following its purchase by the Benetton family. A relocation from the team’s birthplace in Witney to our current home in Enstone was the next adventure in 1992, and signalled the start of a rapid rise for the former championship minnows.

Lotus F1 Team history in Formula1

Just two years after relocating, the first World Championship silverware was brought home to Enstone thanks to Michael Schumacher; the German clinching the 1994 Drivers’ Championship before helping the team to a double success with the 1995 Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship titles.

In 2002 the team took on a new identity as Renault F1 Team, with Fernando Alonso leading the squad to glory; culminating in Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championship titles in both 2005 / 2006.

With the Lotus F1 Team name above the door, highly rated Frenchman Romain Grosjean and Venezuelan driver Pastor Maldonado are the men tasked with bringing Championship glory back to Enstone. Backed up by exciting new developments at the factory – including a 60% scale wind tunnel, ‘Driver in the Loop’ simulator and gearbox dyno facility – the future is looking bright.
