Easily one of the best Mexican places to eat in town. They have a large menu and everything is super good. Their salsa bar is always fresh tasting and well stocked. Even when it's busy and seating seems limited people come and go all the time so you never really wait long for a table.

We stumble upon this place, and since I'm from California, I've been to a lot of "authentic" Mexican restaurants, but this is by far the best. The chile verde burrito was excellent, and with the homemade chips and fantastic salsa, this find was incredible!!!

Huge portions...Food was tasty...but there's room to improve with the Ceviche as well as the Burrito. The tacos were great. will surely recommend this place and will visit again when visiting SB. Tip: If you are not that hungry...dont order two entrées..split one entree and order as you need.

What a fantastic new discovery! As a visiting "Angeleno", I can tell you that Los Agaves DESTROYS Poquito Mas and Sharkey's, while still maintaining the casual "order at the counter and we bring to your table" format. A really totally superior salsa bar with huge plastic cups, the quality of the meat and chicken was fabulous. And there are MANY innovative menu items both on the menu and on the specials board. This is the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life, and I've been toking the stuff for over 50 years. Can't wait to go back.

Great spot for mexican food. The guacamole was excellent as well for an appetizer. I had a chicken dish that came with a bunch of sides like peppers and beans.

Wholey moley. The food here is ridiculously fresh. The Enchiladas were out of control. The service and their method of serving is something that can be improved on. But seeing as how busy they get, it's understandable. The takeaway here is that the food is a must try.
