Watch Arnold Schwarzenegger Working in Disguise at Gold's Gym

"I wanted to have a little fun and raise money for a good cause, so I went to Gold's Gym in Venice in disguise," Arnold Schwarzenegger said

Papaya King has amazing Pina Coladas, which are my favorite. They have all fresh drinks and there is a line out the door. It's a classic NY experience 40 years + and mighty tasty. The hot dogs are the name of the game here and you can get them with the works for the same low price. Cheapest place in town to have lunch. Don't plan to sit there though. There is no room.

NY Sports club sold me what was supposed to be a special holiday membership deal. Not so special and not legitimate. They charged me more than the monthly fee I signed up for. Also the trainer insisted I sign up for a $70 a month training fee which would double my cost. He would not take no for an answer, but I told him I didn't want to pay the extra fee. Despite my turning this training fee down it showed up on my bill and they said I signed a contract for training. They don't even have a Facebook page to write to. Nobody ever called me back at NY Sports club and I finally had to go in person 3 times till I finally got somebody to listen to me and get my membership cancelled. Also they are outside on 86th st signing up members for deals weekly and it's really not a deal at all. Try other NYC clubs.

Cupcakes are so trendy, but Emack and Bolio's home made ice cream cupcakes are to die for. Yummy. On a hot summer night the lines are hanging out the doors for this cool creamery. I am a sucker for the Waffle cones. Try one covered in Fruit Loops and Marshmallow or Rice Crispies. Fun ice cream faves are Purple Cow and Carmel Chocolate Covered Pretzel. It's worth a cheat day for these funky flavors. You can even go home with some marzipan chocolate candy for your sweetie. There's only a few stools inside, but hey this is NYC so grab and go. I actually also am a fan of Boba or Bubble tea. Tapioca balls if you don't know. You can suck them out of a big straw while slurping on a Smoothie. The prices are a bit steep. $8+ if you go for the waffle cone, but well worth the wallet dip and the wait.

Shake Shack is always packed and there's always a big line. I like it better in the summer when there is outdoor seating. You can bring your dog and sit outside at a bench or a table. It's really hard to get a table inside. The shakes are great and come in a number of flavors that change every day. Sometimes if you give some money to charity you get your next Shake free. I like the cheese burgers, but the tasty fries don't come with it. You have to order them separately. The menu is meager. The prices are reasonable. It's fun to come with a friend, but you might want to get the food to go if it's too crowded, but you can check if there's seats outside.

Carnegie Deli is the best place in the world to get a fabulous brisket. When I lived in Los Angeles and visited NYC, Carnegie Deli's sandwiches were what I craved the most. They are piled high with lean pastrami and the most fabulous rye bread. You can eat 1/3 of a sandwich and have 2 meals left to take home. It is so much fun sitting at a long table with other New Yorkers and hearing their stories. Maybe Woody Allen will show up to shoot a movie. I have to get a chocolate egg cream on a sunny summer day to quench my thirst. Carnegie is a must try restaurant for tourists too.

I was so happy when Fox's moved to Manhattan. I used to go in Long Island and it was always a treat. Now they are right on the West Side in the 80's. I went there yesterday for Sunglasses and there were so many to choose from. They have Jimmy Crystal and Svarosky Crystals. There are brands from Jessica Simpson, Kenneth Cole, Calvin Klein and they are really discounted. There are three floors. The basement has fabulous shoes and seasonal designer bargain clothes broke down by sizes. The shirts and pants and dresses are separated. They are open till 9 PM, but it still wasn't enough time to go through the whole store. The basement clothes are under $20. They are originally as much as $80. Amazing. There are dressing rooms on every floor. They don't count how many items you bring in so women bring in 20 pieces to try on. There are also lots of fun clothes from European designers that are a bit more pricey, but everything is reasonable even Marc Jacobs is no higher than $90. Michael Kors and Calvin Klein are discounted, maybe the best prices in town. They don't usually have sales they just always have low prices. You can get the most unique dresses and stylish, embellished shirts that you won't see anywhere else. Everything from suits to win wear. Fabulous costume jewelry and watches are also on the main floor. Designer bags are upstairs and so is sports and gym clothes. If you look at the tags it will tell you if the bag is leather or not. Usually the brand is left on, but sometimes it isn't. They used to cut the brand labels out of the clothes, but they don't do that anymore. Now it's fine with designers if you get their clothes at a discounted price.

Birchbox was the original Beauty Box Subscription. It's still only $10 a month for their women's box, which is amazing. That includes shipping. They set the standard that all other's copied. You can get small to full size samples and sometimes they are curated by a designer or magazine like Teen Vogue or Kate Spade Saturday. There are also limited edition boxes like their recent Modern Mermaid Box for $44. There was an adorable little mermaid fish tail mirror. They even have pop up shops in NYC and you can buy a subscription box in person. Their videos are fabulous. great how toe for hair, applying make up and how to handle summer styles. Birchbox even started selling home goods recently. Great first subscription box to try samples and get started. Subscription Boxes are addictive. You can't buy just one.
