Today on Snarkland... Well, THAT was crazy. - So, Tuesday night, about the time Tim and I were watching our last TV show of the evening, I was like, “Holy crap, what is that NOISE???”…. we paused the TV and listened to the longest rumble of thunder I’ve ever heard. It must have gone on straight for about a minute. That was at about… I don’t know, 9:45 or so? I looked at the weather app on my phone and saw a large band of red, followed by thick green and yellow, was headed our way… it looked...

Today on Snarkland... Baby got class - So, I’ve been taking these classes; geared towards pottery/ceramic artists, they’re two series of lectures – one on marketing, and one on branding. Each week there’s a new lecture in each, a video about 45 minutes long which is an interview with someone in the field about a particular topic (“Dos and Don’ts with Galleries” or “Selling in the Digital Age”) and then a second video about the same length that is the two potters running the series (Molly Ha...

Cetty could walk everyone through choosing glazes, we could start the firing in the late afternoon, pull after dinner, and everyone would have...

Today on Snarkland... I’ll be back soon! - I’m in a whirlwind of trying to catch up with work and home, and so many pictures to share here, or on the work blog, or on Facebook with family… I’m really running around like a chicken with my head cut off this week. Yesterday was devoted to reclaiming the studio after the Open House (what a success!) and taking care of work emails and online work things I’ve fallen behind in. Today so far has been trying to clear off some things I’m behind in, i...

Today on Snarkland... Brindle is still with us - … I feel I should start each blog post with that this week, heh. Tim and I had a long talk at dinner last night about cat end-of-life care, and whether it was necessary (morally or physically for the cat) to get vet intervention (to add to life), and we both were on the same page. It doesn’t seem like, compared to what we’ve seen with our other cats who have died, that this is just like… a bad cold, or something, that can be cured. And neithe...
