Late to the Show: Just caught up with Santorum's famous comment about contraception and birth control and his opposition: "It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be."

Romney's response to a student about free birth control from the government and Planned Parenthood (in spite of the fact that many women and their children depend upon it for their health and safety) responded with:

"Well they can go wherever they’d like to go; this is a free society. But here’s what I’d say, which is the federal government should not tax these people to pay for Planned Parenthood," Romney said. "The idea of the federal government funding Planned Parenthood I’m going to say no, we’re going to stop that."

Combine this with: "Best thing I can do for student debt is get you a good job when you come out."

Excuse me? How about giving us some tax breaks or financial encouragement to make us turn away from the University of Google and embrace traditional higher education?

Am I missing something? Is anyone taking the election of the next president of the United States seriously? I'm not for or against anyone, but are you listening to what all these jerks are saying? Is anyone paying attention? Is this the best we have to offer to the position of ruling our lives?
The GOP’s woman problem is that it has a serious problem with women.

You should be totally against these men! See what they really stand for!!!

Why worry about extremists in Arab countries when we have our own here!? Buy your burka now ladies.

+Nathan Schauer Indeed. That's the fear I have.

+Paula Jones I didn't have a television when Obama was running. All I heard were his speeches. Fresh from living in the Middle East where spin doctors are not just masters but true doctors in spinning, my husband and I would listen to Obama and think, "Wow, that's powerful stuff." Then we'd stop and think about it and realize that he didn't say anything. So it's no surprise that much has happened with the political environment as it is and a president who talks the talk but is against a mountain of walk against him.

I so long for a leader that talks the talk and walks the walk. I honestly don't care what political party he or she comes out of, but we need someone to help guide us into this new world where Cold War lives through the virtual. One who teaches us that if we don't get to love our neighbors, there is no hope.

I have to be honest and admit that I'm also embarrassed by my fellow women who think the government should control their bodies.

+Lorelle VanFossen I'm convinced that we can't get a leader who talks the talk and walks the walk as long as they need hundreds of millions of dollars to run for office. Where are they going to get that money? Big corporations. Then they owe their lives to those big corporations. Our system is inherently corrupt.

But the fact that these men feel so smug as to speak out against women - I hope that bites them in the butt!
