Did you know that Camden has its very own beach? That's right, Laite Memorial Beach, just a short distance down Bay View Street from our Inns. Great for a sunset stroll, an afternoon swim on a warm summer's day, or a picnic lunch, Laite Beach offers fantastic views of the Camden Hills and the distant islands of Penobscot Bay. Don't miss on your next trip to ‪#‎Camden‬.

Another weekend trek for Matthew & Trapper. This time they ventured up to Ocean Lookout on Mt. Megunticook in nearby Camden Hills State Park. This is a bit more rigorous than last weekend's hike up Bald. However, still manageable by most weekend warriors in reasonably good physical shape. The view at the top is unbeatable and well worth the journey. Today's trek was around 4 miles as we created a loop across Tablelands Trail over to Mt. Battie. Two peaks bagged in less than 2-hours, not bad for a beautiful and very warm spring day. ‪#‎Camden‬ ‪#‎hiking‬ ‪#‎lordcamdeninn‬ ‪#‎grandharborinn‬ ‪#‎OceanLookout‬

+Lord Camden Inn  has recently become an official lodging partner of Clean The World, a non-profit organization that collects, recycles and distributes discarded soaps and other hotel hygiene amenities to communities in need. Since 2009, Clean the World has distributed more than 20 million bars of soap to children and families in more than 96 countries worldwide. As a side benefit, they fulfill an environmental mission by collecting hotel waste that would otherwise go into landfills. "We are very excited to be a part of this great conservation effort" says Erick Anderson, General Manager of Grand Harbor Inn.
