We’re currently seeing mobile video explode, especially on Facebook where over half of all video views are on mobile. Getting the viewers attention on mobile is a vastly different endeavor than attracting an audience on television, and it’s important now to adapt your videos for the users and the platforms. Scroll through your Facebook feed, and you will notice that there are a ton of square videos. There’s an important reason for that trend, and if you create video content, then you should be jumping on the bandwagon too.

Video marketing continues to grow in the online space and you’re only limited by your imagination or the skills of the people you hire. If you’re creating a how-to video, a live action video or an animated explainer video, there is a wide range of styles for you to choose from and many ways to have it executed.

At LooseKeys one of the things we always try to make time for in our schedule is creating and putting out internal projects. We love telling stories and when it’s a story about something you are passionate about or inspired by then the pieces all come together.

Internal projects should be a major priority for any animation studio. These types of projects allow the entire team to explore, to flex their creative muscle and it can even serve as an inventive marketing piece for the business.

The donut is a favorite item for most of the team at LooseKeys but the person that loves them the most on the team would be +Jake Williams. Together, all of us wanted to celebrate this delightful treat with an animated video.

The history of the explainer video isn’t particularly old but we have seen it evolve over the years. The simple truth of an explainer video is that it is really just a long form commercial. Businesses are always looking for ways to market to their audience and over the years explainer videos have become highly effective.

Let’s take a moment to see how we got to this point because there are a couple of videos that really blazed the trail by putting the idea of an explainer video at the forefront of all business marketing strategies.

Let’s face it, whether you have one video or you’re working on multiple videos, it’s time to get serious about video and YouTube. Video content is very popular on Facebook. However, YouTube was and still is the number one destination for video content. After all, this social network is a pure video-sharing platform and has been since its birth in 2005.

At LooseKeys we mainly use our YouTube channel as a portfolio, it’s an easy place for new clients to see what kind of videos we’ve done and get a sense of the quality clients will get when working with us. We’ll also post original animation there as well; those range from 10 seconds to 3 minutes. This keeps our page active between client projects and allows us to experiment.
