Almost half of people with disabilities would travel more if they could be certain of finding suitable facilities. Our Travel for All initiative hopes to bring together the information and voices needed to make sure that they can.

Tune in to our Hangout on Air with Lonely Planet’s Accessible Travel Manager, Martin Heng, and our panel of experts as they discuss the ways in which the travel industry can and should evolve to better cater for those with special needs. We’ll also touch on the roles new technologies and social media play in empowering disabled communities to travel and share information.

Feel free to post any questions as comments within this event and we’ll try to answer as many as possible towards the end.

Your preconceptions around Vikings will likely be challenged in #Denmark, where a series of burial sites, rune stones, settlements and museums brings this age to life. Just forget the horned helmets - they didn't wear them! http://bit.ly/1k9r8H2

Secret swims: the cenotes of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula by +Phillip Tang - http://bit.ly/1jr7LIw

But what are they? Cenotes are natural swimming holes formed by the collapse of porous limestone bedrock, which reveals a secret subterranean world of groundwater pools.

Dort Mevsim B.B Pamukkale
reviewed 2 weeks ago
With a Lonely Planet Guidebook Editor Review and outstanding service which keeps guests returning, the Dort Mevsim Hotel in Pamukkale, Turkey is a perfect option for history and nature buffs alike. This budget Turkey hotel is perfectly located just 2 minutes from the ancient Travertines & Hierapolis, a 15-minute drive from the Pamukkale mud baths, water falls area as well as the gorgeous town of Karahayit which is home to the Red Water Springs. This low-priced Pamukkale hotel not only has an ideal location for visiting unique natural wonders such as the Pamukkale natural springs, but the staff is incredibly helpful and will easily help you plan your itinerary and find your way around this gorgeous city. This hotel offers a swimming pool for children and pool sun loungers.
