A touching story we received (below) from one of the traveller's in our community. Thanks, Marie!

'We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in North West Namibia and I have a story we thought you would like.

We stopped in a little town near Epupa Falls to have a beer in the bar and met a delightful young man called Innocent (in the green t-shirt, in the photo). We got to talking about the Himba people and their battle to save the area from damming and I mentioned Chief Kapita, as I had been reading about him in my Lonely Planet. Innocent said "He is sitting over there"! And sure enough a little wizened man was 20 metres away.

I dug my book out and Innocent read the passage about the Himba and Chief Kapita and showed him his name in the book. He was blown away. We have given him the book. A wonderful experience.'

We recently had a play with the new 'app of the moment' #Meerkat , with one of our writers currently in #Denmark .

We want to know what our community think -- would you like to see more livestreams like this from our writers on the road?

You might not consider organised day trips to be the most intrepid adventures out there. However, the good ones, allow you to cover plenty of ground in a limited amount of time, and often mean you can save money on transport too.

We had a thoroughly positive experience with our Look Look tower booth; the props and endless prints were a hit, while the social media sharing capabilities meant we could share the fun with our online audiences. The branding of booth and prints was a great touch and the professional Look Look staff went the extra mile to ensure our event went smoothly.
