Web Developer
Introduction
About me:
I got seriously into web stuff in 2004 and have been gripped ever since. I so wish I had started sooner!
I love trying out new stuff and discovering better ways of doing things. Life's a massive and endless learning curve!

I currently work for a small web development company based in Suffolk, UK. With a background of working for a larger web development agency up until late 2011, I recently downgraded in company size in order to live the full project life cycle of all projects. It can sometimes challenging but I thoroughly enjoy converting those challenges into opportunities.
Although web development is my day job, it's also my hobby. I love what I do and I consider myself very lucky.

Why I'm on Google+:
I primary use of social media is not to communicate with my friends, I don't exclude it but ultimately I prefer to do that in real life. I'm on Google+ to learn, discover and share news and information on topics that interest me:
- Web Development (all aspects)
- Technology & Electronics (from pure electronics through to gadgets and applications)
- Aircraft, Space and Travel (a too expensive hobby to have in real live so I live it through the eyes of others)

What I post about:
- I post about anything web or tech related that I find interesting if I think that someone else may also find it interesting or useful.
- I try not to blindly re-share stuff just for the sake of it. Chances are that if something is flooding my stream, my followers will already have seen it, so re-sharing would be just adding to the spam. I don't like spam.
- I see more than enough caturday posts flying around so I don't feel the need to share any myself even if I do have two lovely cats.
- I do NOT (and if I do, it's extremely rare) post drivel about my personal life as that's the kind of stuff that I wanted to get away from when I quit Facebook. If you really want to know about my life then PM me about it.
- Please note that I don't post regularly, I say this because some people on Google+ seem to think that posting regularly is critical and that people who don't are unworthy. I totally disagree with this ideology and I only post if I have something that I think is worth sharing and most certainly not just because I haven't posted anything in the past 3 days.

Circles:
- If you have a Tech or Web related circle I'd love to be in it! And equally if you'd like to be in mine, be sure to let me know.
- If you have a cat or cute pictures circle, they're cool but I've seen enough to last me a lifetime, thanks ;)

To my followers:
Thank you for following me, I hope that what I post keeps you interested. If not please feel free to uncircle me, I won't be offended.
I always check the posts AND profiles of people who follow me to see whether I want to follow in return, but please don't get offended if I don't follow you back. If you post stuff that's of interest to me then there is a high chance that I will choose to follow you. If you post pictures of your dinner I probably won't follow you back.

Check my +1's:
As already mentioned, I don't always share everything that I come across. However if I find something useful or interesting I will +1 it so that I can easily find it back later if I need to. You too may find some of them interesting so check them out if you have a moment.
My plan is, if there isn't anything out there yet, to add my +1's to my own website in a more organised and categorized manner. But due to the lack of time, I have not yet finished rebuilding my personal website. When I do I'll be sure to mention it here.
Maybe there will be a way to organise +1 one day...

Republishing any or part of my posts or comments outside of Google+ is strictly forbidden without my prior consent.

And not to be confused with my previous post, Gravit.io which I think is something that is worth keeping an eye on. I'm not a designer but I do sometimes need basic image editing tools. I'd love to find an online graphics design/editing kit. Maybe this will fit the bill? And if not today, maybe soon?

Gravit offers the creative possibilities of a full-scale design suite - but in a snug app-sized package. Powerful yet easy-to-handle, Gravit has been custom designed from the ground up with an emphasis on versatility, fluidity and elegance – complex design tasks are made simple through its robust suite of tools and highly responsive smart work environment.

I need to give this a try:
Grav, a no database CMS: In a nutshell, installing Grav is a matter of unzipping the file. It is fast, has sophisticated caching, and a light footprint for optimal performance. Content is just simple markdown files in folders, with no complicated databases to deal with.
Grav is an easy to use, yet powerful, opensource CMS that requires no database

Google’s SHA-1 Deprecation Plan for Chrome
The latest news in the #SSL and web browser industries is Google’s plans to deprecate SHA-1 in a unique way on upcoming releases of Chrome starting with version 39. Considerably different from Microsoft’s plans that were announced in November 2013, Google plans on placing visual marks or placing a block within the browser; all based on the version of the browser, date of use and certificate’s expiration date.
