Implementing code to actively turn off parts of the SSL keychain validation is a very very bad idea - even for testing purposes. If this gets into a finished product somehow or by mistake you have a severely floored product on the shelves.

Also you will be testing something else on your test servers than what will be on your production servers basically rendering such a test null and void.

DO NOT DO THIS

For testing purposes use a self issued root CA certificate and issue the necessary keys with chains to this for your test servers. Then keep these in keystores named in a way, so it cannot ever be misunderstood what they are for.

Use a service like https://letsencrypt.org/
