Long, long before there was Beyonce, Kim and JLo there was the fabulous Sophia! If you've never seen her booty (and everything else), take a trip down memory lane and watch this video. Happy B-day #80!!!
She's grace and style personified. Born 80 years ago today, on Sept. 20, 1934, Sophia Loren still stuns on the red carpet with her perfect posture, dancer's walk and tight-fitting clothes. To mark her milestone birthday, the bombshell beauty has r...

Happiness v Discipline. My friend Bonnie's daughter, Pamela's personal experience at her own daughter's 2nd grade class in a French public school...a delightful read.
Optimism remains authentically American. It's a good lesson for a class of French children.

Fascinating short video for us Califorians to see how 9 inches of snow builds so quickly.
A winter storm dropped over nine inches of snow on Manhattan as of late Thursday morning. This time-lapse shows the accumulation of snow during the storm in New York City.

Native son, Jon Stewart, shows his New Jersey chops...you've gotta love him.
The New Jersey traffic scandal that engulfed Wednesday's news cycle has not only threatened Gov. Chris Christie's 2016 presidential chances in the Republican primaries, it got personal for at least one high-profile New Jersey native: Jon Stewart. "Did probable presidential favorite Chris Christie personally order this traffic?

I'm into design of all kinds, typography, learning, techie things, going to the movies, tennis, Duke basketball
Introduction
In no particular order, some things you might like to know about me:
1.  I do not care what your religious or political beliefs are, just don't try to convert me.
2.  I like being a girl, even though when I was very young I wanted to be a boy (they got to do more stuff).
3.  I was born a twin—to a sister, who died one month after birth.
4.  I am left-handed, but there are several things I do right-handed, as taught by my right-handed mother, like iron and knit.
5.  I like being alone, but am not lonely.
6.  I am happy that I chose not to marry.
7.  I am sad that I never had children of my own.
8.  I am thankful that my sister has allowed me to share her children.
9.  I lived the first 24 years of my life in the same home, but since then have lived in seven different homes.
10.  I once took a year off from work/career and responsibilities and dropped out to live life travelling around the world.
11.  I am afraid of falling, which is why I never learned to ski.
12.  I am afraid of heights.
13.  I do not like escalators either.
14.  I wish I had more siblings, especially a brother.
15.  I like people who are confident (but not cocky), nice to look at (not drop-dead good looks), enjoy good food/wine, intelligent people (dummies need not apply), and most importantly, those that have a sense of humor and know how to laugh at themselves.
16.  I have very little tolerance for mediocrity of any type. What's the point of not shooting for the stars?
17.  I no longer care to be patient with dumb people (seems to be a theme).
18.  I do not like when people interrupt another person’s speaking—wait your turn.
19.  I like Fridays and Sundays best.
20.  I have always loved the movies and the discussions afterwards with friends.
21.  I still enjoy a live performance, although sadly there are very few performers still around that I would pay to see.
22.  I enjoy a good heated, intelligent, but friendly debate.
23.  I am an avid Blue Devil (Duke basketball), loyal Yankee, NY Knick and NY Giant fan (from my Bronx days), and enjoy all of the tennis games I can watch.
24.  I do not do chain email—never liked them when they came via snail mail and I haven't changed my position now that they come electronically.
And finally...
25.  I do not like being the oldest person in the room, but I’m happy to still be in the room (you know what I mean).
