A story of survival, hope and love, the three-part book follows the life of Andras, born in Hungary before the cataclysmic changes of World War II tore at the fabric and heart of his world.

Skills
I'm an old school writer and my writing career began in 1993 when a newspaper editor offered me a weekly column, Stirring the Pot, which I wrote with gusto for the next ten years. This led to a weekly segment on local ABC radio (with James Valentine and Rod Quinn); and other good things in my culinary career. For a decade, I juggled the role of promotions and centre manager for a fresh produce market with co-ownership of Canberra's leading cooking school and cookware store, and marketing World Whole Foods organic product lines. I think this is when I earned the nickname 'Bizzy Lizzy'. During this exhilarating time, I met and worked with many of the industry's greats, and feel privileged to have welcomed them to Canberra.
