I'm an old school writer and my writing career began in 1993 when a newspaper editor offered me a weekly column, Stirring the Pot, which I wrote with gusto for the next ten years. This led to a weekly segment on local ABC radio (with James Valentine and Rod Quinn); and other good things in my culinary career. For a decade, I juggled the role of promotions and centre manager for a fresh produce market with co-ownership of Canberra's leading cooking school and cookware store, and marketing World Whole Foods organic product lines. I think this is when I earned the nickname 'Bizzy Lizzy'. During this exhilarating time, I met and worked with many of the industry's greats, and feel privileged to have welcomed them to Canberra.
