Alice in Wonderland - the original manuscript
http://www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/ttp/alice/accessible/introduction.html

This is the manuscript that was given to Alice in 1864, dedicated to "a dear child, in memory of a summer day". How sweet! I hope Lewis Caroll (aka Charles Dodgson) wasn't actually a pedophile. lol. :)

He wasn't a pedophile. Merely a good friend to the family.

He was a teacher and a friend. There were complications, I think, in that he was expected to marry one of the girls, but eh. He didn't diddle kids.

Boy that illustration is kind of unsettling!

That illustration is kinda whacky. But, considering the story ...

He took nude photos of girls. It's called Art.

Pedophile or not, it is an important part of literary history.

This was my go-to book for book reports in high school. I specialized in Alice, a book that appealed on many levels.
