Hi All,

+Jaromír Coufal and I have been working on some designs for the navigation enhancement blueprint:  https://blueprints.launchpad.net/horizon/+spec/navigation-enhancement

I wanted to share one design proposal and ask if anyone has any feedback on this design. +Jaromír Coufal is working on some additional ideas and will share those in a few days. Here is the current proposal for review:

Thanks!

One additional thing I wanted to put out there to you all... When I mentioned that Kev created this community, a few people working on the Horizon component asked me why we didn't just use the mailing lists and create a UX IRC channel since the OpenStack community is using those methods of communication currently today. I told them that I'd bring it up to the group just incase anyone feels strongly about this... Personally, I think that this community might be an easier way to share designs and comment on them in one place, but I'm open to anything really :)

Liz

Hey everyone! It's great to see that this community has grown so much! I'd be happy to attend a hangout sometime, great idea Kev. I have a few vacations coming up this month (tough life :) ) but if I'm around I will be there.

A bit about myself:

I currently work for Red Hat and am in an Interaction Designer role. I've been here for about 5 months and although I'm pretty new to open source software, I'm enjoying everything that is has to bring. It's great to be working on the OpenStack project which has such a vibrant community.

I focus on the Usability side of things at times in creating personas and going on site visits to perform usability tests and contextual inquiries. I also spend a lot of time on the Interaction Design side of things working in an agile process to create use cases, context scenarios, wireframes, higher fidelity mockups, and prototypes.

I enjoy pretty much any sport you throw my way! So I spend a lot of time outside of work playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, golf...you name it and I'll try it :)
