With school finally over and a steady income coming in, it's tempting to put that money toward a house. However, buying a home isn't necessarily the best choice for all people. Unless you have a hefty down payment already saved up, and you plan to be in the same house for a while, renting may still be the better option.

For some, it’s the roar of the crowd as the home team scores a touchdown on Saturdays. For others, it’s the quiet, tree-lined sidewalks on the quad or the ability to meet new people at different events at any hour of the day.

I totally agree with the review above! The staff is friendly, but very nonchalantly about major issues. We had a terrible time with the neighbors above us. Complained, called courtesy officer several times. Finally we made them come listen to it. Only then did they do anything. We had an issue with bugs the first few months moving in. This place is way overpriced for what you have to deal with. Pricing in Columbia is ridiculous. We paid 1200 for a two bedroom apartment. I could buy a house! Even compared apartments in the surrounding area. We are by far the most expensive.

I've only lived in Abberly for 2 years and I've had some really frustrating experiences. My rent has increased EVERY year. The worst thing that I've experienced at Abberly was when a pest control worker burst into my apartment with a key and tried to spray my apartment (the wrong apartment) for bugs. Thankfully I was there to stop him, but when I wrote an e-mail to the management company asking them to explain how and why this man was given a key to my apartment and not supervised by an Abberly employee, they defended the pest control worker and said he simply had the wrong apartment number. Let me repeat- Management was completely unapologetic and stated that it is their POLICY to give a key to contractors (such as pest control, carpet cleaners, etc) and let them roam around Abberly without supervision.
