"I ought to seek the company of those Sisters who according to nature please me least. I ought to fulfill in their regard the office of the Good Samaritan. A word, a kindly smile, will often suffice to gladden a wounded and sorrowful heart."

I've always admired this attitude of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, but it's easy for me to forget, and not put it into action.

I've been struggling since yesterday to let go of lingering annoyance and anger following an exchange with a coworker who's known to have interpersonal issues. (This was my first such experience with this coworker, so I guess I was due.)

Then a few minutes ago, I came across this quote while looking for a completely different one from Thérèse.

Wonderfully providential. :-) ♥
