Mushie loves macarons! It's like eating little crunchy pillows of awesome, and they're not overly sweet.

I keep hearing how difficult they are to make, so naturally, I wanna give it a go someday. 😛

Closeup of another fantastic piece by Beth Cavener, The Question that Devours. This is hanging on the wall with the wolf's head pointing down, toward a rabbit huddled in fright.

You only get this view if you lie on the floor, looking up at the wolf. Which obviously I did. 😛

This piece by Beth Cavener (b.1972) is one Mushie and I couldn't stop staring at. Liquid in stone form! ♥️

It's #ThankfulThursday! :-D What 3 things (minimum!) are you thankful for today? Please feel free to be as yappy or brief as ya like! Mine are:

1) Sipping wine in front of the fireplace after ...

2) ... a productive day's work.

3) The B =^..^= is all hydrated for a few days. (Subcutaneous fluids for his effin' kidney failure.)

4) Getting the hang of using the Momentum Planners* from Productive Flourishing (www.productiveflourishing.com), thanks to a coworker's coaching. Just sprang for their full package for a whopping $10.80 (used a tiny discount coupon; normally costs $12). I could easily ask for work reimbursement, but eh, it's such a small price that I don't feel rushed to make the effort.

5) The fun of getting lost in fiction. While the book** I'm reading isn't fantastic, and I have issues with some of the characters and cultural assumptions, it's been a solid diversion so far.

6) Getting another wonderful hand-written Christmas card from my CEO (got my first one last year). He does that for everyone, and personally delivers them. I really do love where I work, and ...

7) ... am thankful that I have the good fortune to work where I do.

* I think from big down to the small (others think from small up to big, and there's NO "right" direction; it's simply how folks approach things), so their paid-only yearly and quarterly planners are an excellent addition for me.

Plus, we're on the cusp of 2018, so timing's good. And, I feel like their free planners are already making a big difference. PLAN ALL THE THINGS!

My keto eggnog experiment is a success! It's perfectly creamy, looks just like it's supposed to, and it tastes great!

Since I used a recipe that called for sugar, I replaced it with xylitol, which worked excellently. The one thing I'll change next time is to use less than the specified 1 cup, because the result is just too sweet for my taste. Instead, I'll cut it to 3/4 or 1/2 cup. (Leaning toward 1/2 cup.) I also used all heavy cream, instead of the milk/cream combo.

I'm delighted to be able to drink my favest Christmas beverage once more, without the sugar! 💚 🥛 🎄 ♥️

Love it when male/female singer switches are done well in music. Like here. (See also: "The Boy from Ipanema".)

Side note: Stop with the "Rape Anthem" screeching. It isn't about rape, but seduction.

I'm lazy and don't feel like typing it all out when there's a handy, someone-already-wrote-it explanation, so I direct your attention to:

Keto (no sugar) eggnog experiment in progress! Will know tomorrow if it worked, or if it goes down the drain. Fingers crossed. 🤞

"I stumbled upon something I had never heard of until recently -- Vietnamese Egg Coffee -- and decided to experiment in the kitchen.

"Now, let’s get right to the recipes themselves. As you’ll see, they’re not all that complex. You’re basically just adding eggs or egg yolks to coffee. Still, though, read on to see exactly how I did it."

I've wondered about adding eggs to coffee! Def gonna try this.
