“Whether you are a world-class athlete, a world-class mom, or a world-class business man, when you put everything into that present moment, not only will you perform your very best, you are in union with God in that moment. The degree to which we remain in the present moment is the degree to which we are in union with God.”
What do Pope Francis, Russell Wilson, Jen Fulwiler and Dr. Bill Thierfelder have in common? Leave it to me to make a connection.

The French once sold a concentrated, inexpensive soup called a restorative in the 1500s. It was billed as a cure for exhaustion.

Exhaustion, you say?

Maybe dining over simple yet healthy bowls of “restoratives” throughout Lent is just what you need this year? Check out some of these recipes shared last year during our 40 Days, 40 Bowls challenge.

The tree, lights, stockings, and nativity are now put away here. While those things are being taken down, how about putting something else up?

What about a crucifix for every room of the house?

January is traditionally the time to make New Year’s resolutions. For Christians, it’s also an ideal time to “take stock, reassess, and recommit to a life lived for and in Jesus Christ.” Let’s take advantage of this time of year to become closer to the Lord. While exploring this one little word of mine, I found the following stewardship prayer for the New Year from the International Catholic Stewardship Council. Pray it with me?

I speak for myself, saying that I pray the rosary every day, in addition to listening to the Mass, and communion, ask which node should pray with her,
prayers and what you should do!

Each year on the Third Sunday of Advent children gather with their families in St. Peter’s Square in Rome for “Bambinelli Sunday.” It’s an Italian Catholic family tradition in which handcrafted babies or “bambinelli” destined to represent the Christ child in the family’s Nativity scene are blessed by the pope.
