Hey Google + geek friends, have you read the new Pew report on Digital Differences at http://pewinternet.org/Reports/2012/Digital-differences/Overview.aspx Is your parish or organization finding ways to serve the people who aren't accessing your online efforts or are viewing your content via mobile devices?

The mobile piece is really interesting because I think we're at a point where parishes are beginning to recognize the importance of just websites and now they need to be looking at mobile versiog of that. Likewise, it's looking at how to incorporate mobile into a lot of things (i.e. social networking, etc.). There's a lot of great possibilities going forward. Interestingly enough the young people and mobile is primarily about texting whereas the social media stuff is the parents.

agreed Brad -- this is sort of the "kick in the pants" I need to do a better job of mobilizing our parish efforts. And definitely on the texting thing too!

Mobile is also deceptively simple. All you have to do is work on the format of your content if you have been keeping up with it. It doesn't need to be a totally different site (which is what I'm struggling to fix on ours right now.)
