One of our greatest roadblocks to a strong, resilient body is our unwillingness to look at how our past & present choices & habits have led to our current physical experience. It's so much easier to blame genetics or to conclude that something "came out of nowhere". It's much (much!) more challenging to consider our role in it (which is certainly not the only variable) and then choose to do something differently as a result. Very much a work in progress for me.

Fun afternoon spent creeking with my girlie. Squatting, reaching, walking on slippery, unsteady rocks, mobilizing our feet, testing our balance, throwing rocks, being out doors - all kinds of movement opportunities, no gym required!

Having fun finishing up prep for tonight's (and tomorrow's) free Why Kegels Aren't Enough webinar. Thank goodness for Post Its! Love technology but my brain needs paper when I'm organizing a presentation :)

Today's squatting workstation :) I put everything far enough away that I have to reach for it. Harder than standing at the counter but way more movement required!

If you had told me of 3 1/2 years ago that I would enjoy walking a 3 mile round trip to the grocery store on a cold & blustery day (or any day for that matter), I would've laughed & laughed & wondered what you'd been drinking :) Happy New Year, my friends! May this be the start of a fabulous year for you!

Boot mat plus loose stones = DIY cobblestone mat. Awesome way to improve mobility in feet that have spent years in shoes :)

In case you come across this and believe that this article is saying that induction of labor decreases the risk for a c-section, please, please, PLEASE READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE NOT THE HEADLINE!!! Actually, read the study, not the article.

Let's file this headline: Induced Labor May Lower Risk for C-Section, Study Finds, under things that get me hot & bothered (and not in a good way). Most of this article would lead you to believe that there's research now showing that induction of labor reduces the risk for a c-section, right? Except no, that's not quite what it's saying. Keep reading and you'll find that the use of prostaglandin E2, a cervical ripener/softener is what's been linked to a reduced risk for c-section. NOT induction via pitocin. NOT induction via artifical rupture of the membranes. All inductions are not created equal!! It's a shame these headlines fuel the misinformation. As if the birth arena didn't already have enough misinformation floating around.......

A long article, but such a worthwhile read. "There is a big difference between avoiding major hazards and making every decision with the primary goal of optimizing child safety (or enrichment, or happiness). We can no more create the perfect environment for our children than we can create perfect children. To believe otherwise is a delusion, and a harmful one; remind yourself of that every time the panic rises."

CranioSacral therapist & mentor, Restorative Exercise Specialist™
Introduction
Hi there!

I'm a CranioSacral therapist and Restorative Exercise Specialist™ with a private practice in Columbus, Ohio.

I integrate CranioSacral Therapy and Restorative Exercise™ (whole body alignment) to help people wanting relief from what's not working with their body so they can experience greater ease and well-being.

I'm also a mentor for other CranioSacral therapists
. I work with CST practitioners around the world.

I help CST practitioners shorten their learning curve and expand and own their expertise so they feel more confident at the table and get better results with their clients.

As for life away from my table
, I'm a long awaited mama to girlie munchkin, an alignment and anatomy nerd, an occasional knitter & a personal growth junkie.

I'm dedicated to being real and laughing, a lot.
Bragging rights
I've ridden a century aka bicycled 100 miles in one day

We had a non-emergency cold weather related leak. Understandably, due to all the other weather related plumbing issues, I was told it would most likely be a few days until they could get to us. Imagine my delight when I was called that same afternoon & told that someone was on his way. Josh did a great job - he quickly identified the problem, fixed it & tightened up a couple other things in the process. Great service and reasonable price make me a very happy customer. Thank you!
