Sometimes it’s easier to learn about something by watching a video. That can be especially true when the thing you are learning about is a sensitive topic. G-dcast has created a number of videos addressing elements of Jewish life. This one, on Jewish mourning practices, covers the basic issues that you will encounter in regard to a death and mourning.

Feminist. Erotic. Religious. Musical Artwork. and I get to promote it for work. Life is good today. The ones with eyes might be wise but I am just learning about the depth of Kabbalah... http://www.g-dcast.com/kabbalah_eyes/
The Wise Have Eyes is a musical art piece inspired by The Parable of The Maiden, a mystical Jewish tale within Zohar (a primary source text for Kabbalah).

This is a fun app to play with. If you turn the app to the side you can literally blow into your microphone to make shofar sounds. http://www.g-dcast.com/wake-up-world/

Celebrate Rosh Hashana, the Jewish new year, by blowing the shofar to wake up toys, animals and parents in this interactive story full of surprises. Randi Zuckerberg narrates this tale for 2-6 year olds: children will delight in actually blowing into their phones and tablets to sound the shofar! Each blast brings the story to life with colorful animations created by best-selling illustrator Laura Huliska-Beith.

Pick a boy or a girl character to star in the story
Use the mic on your device to really blow the shofar in the story
English and Hebrew versions in the same app
Fun for the holidays, or all year round!
In the Jewish tradition, shofars are sounded throughout the High Holiday services to call people to a spiritual reawakening, to re-examine their lives, to let go of yesterday and to bring in the new year. In Wake up World children (and their grown ups!) learn about the spiritual meaning of the shofar by waking up friends with a mic-enabled virtual shofar. http://www.g-dcast.com/wake-up-world/

Who is the maiden with no eyes? R. Shimon bar Yochai posed this riddle for his students, tempting them to follow him on a mystical journey. Lag B'Omer is time to remember this legendary author of the Zohar, and G-dcast takes peek behind the curtain. http://www.g-dcast.com/kabbalah_eyes/
