Hello! I'm Lisa, author of the fun parenting website, Crazy Adventures in Parenting
. Currently, I work with Nintendo, SeaWorld San Antonio, Johnson's Baby, Microsoft Windows, Verizon, Netflix, and Fitfluential as an Ambassador, and have been featured in Power Moms
and Mom Blogging for Dummies
I've previously contributed for the award-winning parenting humor website, Momicillin
, contributed as an eco-friendly writer to Army Wife Magazine (now Army Spouse Magazine
), and served as the Big Families editor at TypeAMom (now TypeAParent
). I was also on the Advisory Committee for Collective Bias
and served as a Wishpot Parent Expert.
When I'm not online, you can find me hip-deep in dishes or diapers, MacGyvering broken things back together using shoelaces and bubble gum, navigating our crazy-busy life with a breastfed baby on my hip, all while cooking from scratch and pretending my hair color isn't from a bottle.
Passionate about healthy living and eating all-natural and organic foods, I find sanity in gardening, baking cookies, working out so I can eat bake more cookies, playing with my family outdoors, and writing all about our parenting (mis)adventures.
I enjoy creating and sharing stories, not just through writing but with photography and videography as well. Part of my love of storytelling naturally involves sharing with everyone the things we love to do and use. I also love to sharing tips, recipes, crafts and the oh-so-many embarrassing and hilarious stories about our lives together.
A writer since childhood, instead of empty DIY cardboard books I made with tape, my journals morphed online, first in the old "dotcom" days of Compuserve, AOL, and dial-up, then to Livejournal, Blogger and now to Wordpress. After successfully tucking away eleventy-billion parenting years under my belt, I now share my often hilarious take on parenting, chock-filled with parental war stories and snapshots of our crazy life.
