By Lisa D. Jenkins I’m building my backpack gear set and this past weekend I bought a sleeping bag. Not a regular "throw something on the floor because we’re out of beds" type bag, but a serious "keep me warm in the wilderness at zero degrees" type...

Have you ever tried to unsubscribe from an email newsletter? I don't know about you, but I handle multiple personal and business email addresses, and I sign up for a variety of emails (some are retail or business-based sales ones,...

There's a point in here I hadn't previously included in my what I call social identity portfolios. This is a great list to make sure all your bases are covered.

I really appreciate the points Heather shares here. Having confessed that I'm not a blogger this hit home with me. Go Heather!
Hi, my name is Heather. And, I have a confession. I’ve been a bad blogger. Like, a tragically bad, absentee blogger. If I’m being really, really honest, I fell out of love with blogging. When I first started blogging, it was fun. I wrote about whatever I wanted and didn’t really care if it tied back to …

Google’s John Mueller has announced that Google is making a major change in the search results around authorship. Specifically, Google is dropping the profile photo and circle count from the search listings where authorship is assigned to a web page. Mueller said that the “click-through behavior on this new less-cluttered design is similar to the […]

So last September, Google+ suspended my account because "Our system has determined that the name you provided on your Google+ profile Lisa D. Jenkins may not actually be a name".  Now they've shut down +***** (Ken Mueller) for impersonating himself. Soooooo, yeah. Could you get on fixing that Google+?

Story
Introduction

I’m a Public Relations professional specializing in Social Media Networking and Digital Marketing for businesses. I don’t make the tools of the trade, I make the tools of the trade work for my clients.

I have over a decade of experience and work most often with travel, tourism, hospitality and recreation related businesses in the Pacific Northwest. I work with these businesses because I know them deeply and because I passionately believe that promoting them will help them grow to the point where new jobs are created.

I have one husband, two kids, and a Miniature Schnauzer named Harvey (like the pookah) who give me a full and happy life in the Pacific Northwest. I love red wine, Guinness, quirky tees and film … I will die literature poor.
