posting again because last time there was a broken link - here's Part 1 again - Best Apps for Memorial Day Part 1 - Educational Apps - by Lisa Caplan for TheAppzine
Memorial Day is a US holiday intended as a time to remember veterans who gave their lives serving in the armed forces. And while aspects of that tradition are still a part of the day, the truth is with so many other holidays dedicated to essentially the same purpose and the holidays’ unfortunate calendar placement right about the time of year when most schools let out and almost every state in the union are experiencing the first blast of summer’...

I know I know typos, I asked for editing permission - but I hope the substance makes up for the style booboos - if you are looking for a keyboard replacement for your iphone or ipad check this out: Fleksy and GiF Keyboard for iOS Review | by Lisa Caplan for TheAppzine
Since Apple unveiled iOS 8 last fall a bevy of third party keyboards have deluged the App Store with offerings that take advantage of Apple’s new slight-more-developer-friendly tools. I’ve already covered two of the most popular options Swiftkey and Swype, but to complete the major trifecta of Android keyboard ports to iOS we need to look at the ever-popular Fleksy offering as well.

I have to confess that while most social sites both appeal to me and are easy for me to find great uses for, Reddit has always had me a little mystified. It’s cluttered and seems populated by – if not the technocratic elite – certainly folks with more geek credential than I. That said the premise isn’t hard to get – if you register for free you can submit any kind of content from a question to a critique, a joke, gif, or photo, ask a question, pi...

Long time writer’s darling Ulysses for Mac has made its way to iPad with the features wordsmiths have come to love. If you are already familiar with the minimalist three-pane design and Markdown features, you’ll feel right at home with the iPad iteration. Better still both the iOS and OS X version use iCloud sync so you can take your writing on the go, and pick up where you left off easily when you are back at your desk.

The latest release from successful developer Mediocre AB is anything but mediocre. Does Not Commute turns racing games on their head by using a relatively basic course and putting players in the driver's seat, so to speak, when it comes to controlling difficulty. Travel begins easily enough with a resident of the town needing to get from point A to point B. The twist to this game is that once one resident reaches his destination, a new character ...

worst service, worst staff - they dont speak Freench or English yet manage to be extremely rude in pigin and can't put together a side slad. The restaurant is also filty inside and out, The counters where you order are grease-soaked, thetavles had trays on them and ketchup stains and Ican't explain the horor of the bathroom. But I still wouldn't write complainng about craptacular fast food, but I feel a responsibility to warn people that both my husband and child got food poisining from plain small burgers. If you cross the orty and head a bit North there's another Wendy's and next door La Belle, the brass is ear there and again on the other side of the 40 there is that strip mall filled with every fast food and some good resuuratns - there is an A&W's at the far end - it's still fast food, but when we eat there the burhers taste like they mght hide some meat in the pink slime amd certinly my guys have never been ill from AW. Steer clear - the hspital will conact whomever they contact, we've contacted corporate, let's hope they owner loses his business altogethre - Timmy's shares the same parking lot, get a great tasting coffee and a sadnwich wher the ingredients are at least identifiable, Honestly I've never been so disgusted.
