Want to join me in a blessing dance party? :) -->
Years ago, I worked with a man who was an avid hunter. During one of his hunting trips, he climbed a tree, tied himself to the trunk, and kept watch. After several hours, he fell asleep. When he awakened, he looked down to discover a plethora of hoof prints circling … Continue reading →

When we receive Jesus as Lord of our lives, we are joyfully given His mercy, grace, and eternal life. And when we pass on what we have been freely given by Christ, our joy doubles — we celebrate, Heaven celebrates, and the body of Christ celebrates. As we share the good news, we also stop the enemy from advancing.

Have you been blessed to receive Jesus as your Savior? Please remember to share Jesus and let the joy parties begin! -->

“…there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” ~ Luke 15:10, Matthew 28:19-20 (NASB)

Enjoying the warm summer evening, I stood in left field. My softball skills weren’t the best, and the coach had placed me where he thought I could do the least damage. But then… with a crack of the bat, the ball zoomed right at me. I held up my glove … Continue reading →

Looking for tranquility?
I have a tendency to try and figure out things. I want to understand what happened in the past, what I need to do today, and what might happen in the future. I try to reason based on my own reasoning which leads to basic non-understanding because how can I … Continue reading →

Keep praying! Pray with fire!
“Heaven pays little attention to casual requests. God is not moved by feeble desires, listless prayers, and spiritual laziness. God rejoices to see a soul on fire with holy passion as the heart reaches out to Him. White-hot prayer burns its way through obstacles to the throne of God. A burning heart is your best preparation for prayer. Fiery prayer is the intensity born of the Holy Spirit. The fire of the Spirit baptizes your heart as a prayer warrior and empowers your praying. If your prayers are not touched with holy fire, you have not yet felt the heartbeat of God. To be absorbed in God’s will, God’s purpose, God’s zeal, and God’s glory will set your heart and prayer aflame. Prayer feeds on flame. It is the fiery intercessors who conquer. Such burning desire makes intercession invincible. Desire is the flame within; intercession is the flame leaping out to God.” ~ Wesley Duewel, Touch the World Through Prayer, Michigan: Zondervan, p 201-202

"For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]." -- Hebrews 4:15-16 (AMP)

Let's strengthen our spiritual core!
While in physical therapy for compressed discs in my neck, the therapist reminded me to make a conscious effort to keep my stomach muscles tight. Those muscles are core and vital to many common movements, such as lifting, twisting, reaching, and bending. A weak core causes problems with posture, back … Continue reading →

Looking for hope? Join me at +Life Letter Cafe
Refresh Forward >>>Along life’s journey we hope for certain things—good things for ourselves, our family, and our friends. However, life doesn’t always turn out like we planned, and our hopes are sometimes shattered and fractured. We spend our lives looking for hope. Often we focus so hard and so long at that one thing, that one person, that one situation, that we miss everything else. We miss the things God is doing, the people He is sending our...

Christianity doesn’t mean conforming to fit in little boxes of a square labeled Christianity. If puzzle pieces were only square they might fit together and look alike, but there wouldn’t be a linking point, nothing to hold them together. Shake ‘em up and they are going to get all shook up.

With a link, a holding point, there is stability and unity. As Christians our link is Jesus. The beautiful diversity of the body of Christ is made up of every color, shape, size, style of haircut and dress you can imagine.

I’m so grateful my entrance into heaven isn’t based on how well I can wear high heels or how fancy my dress. I need training wheels on high heels and only have only a few dresses in my closet. I’m most comfortable in jeans and tennis shoes. If only someone could come over and color-code my clothing for me, I’d be a much happier woman.

But I digress…

Thankfully God -->

“… your God, oh, my friends, your God, His heart, His Father’s heart of love, longs, longs, longs to have you give Him everything. It is not a demand. It is a demand, but it is not a demand of a hard Master, it is the call of a loving Father, who knows that every gift you bring to God will bind you closer to Himself, and every surrender you make will open your heart wider to get more of his spiritual gifts. ... You cannot expect all the love and peace and joy of heaven to come into your life and be your treasures, unless you give them up absolutely to the Kingdom God, and posses and use them only for Him. It is the soul utterly given up to God that will receive in its emptying the fullness of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Andrew Murray, Deeper Christian Life

Looking for the perfect place? Join me at +Life Letter Cafe
Refresh Forward >>>I adore hiking in the mountains. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to walk trails around the country. The clean outdoor air clears my lungs and my mind. I feel closer to the Lord in the stillness of God’s nature. The times I’ve had those opportunities are joy-filled… Best. Days. Ever! Since I was a young girl, I’ve wanted to live in a cabin in the mountains with a small stream, creek or river nearby. Other friends tell me they ...

Going through a rocky time? Join me on +Life Letter Cafe for #encouragement -->
Refresh Forward >>>Sweet hubby and I checked the trail map and followed the markers to visit a river and waterfall. Excitement built as we navigated through the forest, fields, and rocky trails. However, when we arrived, the river was dry, no water flowed, and the waterfall was only a rocky ledge. I was so disappointed. One of my favorite things is to sit by (or in) a river and play in the water clearing out any areas where the water does not fre...

Are we comparing our best to what others do, or what God has called us to do? ->
Refresh Forward >>>I’m looking forward to our next Olympics. I’m so amazed at athletes who train and strive to be the best at their sport. In the 2012 Olympics, Gold medalist Michael Phelps raced in an early event. To advance to the finals, athletes had to compete in various heats and semi-finals. All cameras were trained on Michael as he easily finished in first place. Michael didn’t break records with his swim; he just wanted to make sure he ad...

Introduction
I'm a joyfully in love with God, Christ-follower, a happily-married writer and mom. I'm not perfect at anything. I’ve made stupid, sinful mistakes, and often traveled down the wrong roads. God never gave up on me, never let go, and welcomed me home when I stumbled back seeking His grace.

Thanks to undiagnosed Lyme disease for six years, my medical journey could be used by several medical television shows. I've been poked, prodded, and diagnosed with way too many diseases. After an eleven year struggle, God granted healing!

I serve an awesome God who has helped me through many difficulties. There's nothing enjoyable about suffering and pain but I wouldn't change it for the world, because through it all I’ve grown closer to the God who created, formed, and loved me before I was born.
