Wow. Has it really been 20 years? It seems like it has been a lifetime, and only yesterday, all at the same time.
Times photojournalist Kirk McCoy recounts terrible scenes he photographed in April and May, 1992:

I shot the LA riots. I even turned in film to the LA Times. They didn't run anything I shot, but I got it back souped.
What do you mean by souped, exactly?
People would shoot film of news events and submit it to papers hoping to get one of their shots run.To save time the papers would do a quick develop job on the film, so it might tend to come out grainy.
That kind of it. Duh...How'd it look? You should dig them up and post a few.
I lost most of the prints I made in a move quite a few years back. I just posted one...
It's not a big deal +Dave Condit . I still have the negs, and it was only about 8 prints. I have a ton of prints left. In fact, I need to get rid of some.
