I've tried more peach cobbler recipes than I can count- This simple recipe is hands down the best variation I've come up with. I won't make it any other way!

We got to tour Cheekwood's new installation with the artist himself, Jaume Plensa- Hearing from the artist totally changed my 11-year-old's perspective on both the installation and art in general, so I thought it would be worthwhile to share what he had to say with you! Read this before you take your kids to Cheekwood this summer- You'll be glad you did!

I've spent years trying to make perfectly boiled, easy-to-peel eggs, but the results were always hit-or-miss-- until now. I've finally figured out how to make them turn out just right every single time, and today, I'm sharing the technique with you! IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS, PEOPLE. :)

Introduction
Lindsay Ferrier is a wife, stepmother, mother, writer and producer with a background in television anchoring, writing, and reporting. She currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

Writing

Lindsay is the author of Suburban Turmoil, which gets regular mentions in newspapers (Chicago Tribune, The Tennessean, Austin American-Statesman) magazines (Redbook, All You, Cookie) and on websites (WashingtonPost.com, Salon.com, Newsweek.com, BBC.com, AdAge.com, GoodHousekeeping.com). She is represented by Danielle Wiley of Sway Group. Lindsay has been named by SAY Media as one of the 100 most influential voices on the web, listed as one of Parenting Magazine’s Must-Read Mom Bloggers and was named  a Top 50 Mom Blogger in Access Communications’ social media study. Awards for Suburban Turmoil include Divine Caroline’s Editor’s Pick for Best Mom Blog, Parents Connect’s voters’ choice for Best Local Blog in Nashville, and the Best of Blogs award for Best Parenting Blog.

Lindsay began the style blog, She’s Still Got It, in December 2009 and sold it to CafeMom, the number one mom’s site on the Internet, in May of the following year. She continues to write 15 posts a week under the She’s Still Got It column header for CafeMom’s The Stir blog. Lindsay’s writing for She’s Still Got It  is regularly syndicated on Yahoo! Shine and has been quoted on CNN.com and in London newspaper The Guardian.

Lindsay wrote a weekly newspaper column about her life for the Nashville Scene between 2006 and 2011. She was voted one of Nashville’s top three local columnists by Nashville Scene readers in the 2010 Best of Nashville awards.

Lindsay also has written columns for the Nashville City Paper, the Louisville Eccentric Observer, and Geez Magazine, and she was the blended family blogger for Parents Magazine for more than two years. She has  contributed work to many parenting websites, including Dot-Moms.com (one of Time Magazine’s 50 Coolest Sites), AlphaMom.com and WorkItMom.com. Her blog posts have been reprinted on numerous websites, including WNBC.com, iVillage.com, and Reuters.com. Lindsay and her writing also have been featured in the books, Attack of the Fifty-Foot Hormones (HarperCollins), The Digital Moms Handbook (Harper Paperbacks), and Kirtsy Takes a Bow (Bright Sky Press).

Television/On-Camera Work

Lindsay was selected in a nationwide search as one of iVillage’s iVoices, and now appears in video segments for the franchise. Before that, she co-hosted BlogHer’s weekly parenting webcast, “Backtalk.”

Prior to that time, she was a freelance television writer and producer. She was a writer and producer for the award-winning CMT series, “Inside Fame,” writing the television biographies of celebrities including John Mellencamp, Wynonna Judd, and Brooks & Dunn. She was a writer and producer for CMT’s “100 Greatest Country Music Songs” and “100 Greatest Country Music Videos,” and she has produced shows and segments for cable networks A&E, Hallmark Channel, and GAC. Lindsay also wrote and produced an Emmy-nominated 30 minute program on HIV/AIDS for NBC affiliate WSMV in Nashville and earned another Emmy  nomination for her reporting on “Tennessee’s Wild Side,” a program on Nashville’s PBS affiliate station, WNPT.

Lindsay began her career as the morning anchor for Columbia, South Carolina ABC affiliate WOLO-TV. After working at WOLO for three years (and earning an Associated Press award for her reports on education), she moved to Nashville for a job at NBC affiliate WSMV-TV. While working as a reporter and fill-in anchor there, she earned an Emmy Award and two Emmy nominations for her stories.

Appearances and Speaking Engagements

Lindsay’s blog post, “The State of the Mommyblog” inspired a panel at BlogHer ’08, which she moderated, and which was covered by the New York Times.

She also was chosen as a keynote speaker for BlogHer ’08′s Community Keynote Address, where she read her Suburban Turmoil post about The Wiggles.

She speaks often in Nashville to various women’s groups and organizations.

Lindsay co-hosts a party for bloggers that’s held at the Mom 2.0 and BlogHer conferences each year, is sponsored by McDonalds, and has been featured in the London Times.

She’s also a brand ambassador for Nintendo and Backyard Discovery.

Personal

Lindsay is wife to WSMV-TV reporter Dennis Ferrier, mom to a 4-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl, full-time stepmom to 18 and 20-year-old girls. Her family is currently “between pets” and she’s trying to keep it that way for as long as possible.

Lindsay attends Cross Point Community Church in Nashville. She’s on the board of the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence and she volunteers weekly at her daughter’s elementary school. In her (admittedly non-existent) spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, snow skiing, white water rafting, traveling, and doing the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle.
