Television/On-Camera Work

Prior to that time, she was a freelance television writer and producer. She was a writer and producer for the award-winning CMT series, “Inside Fame,” writing the television biographies of celebrities including John Mellencamp, Wynonna Judd, and Brooks & Dunn. She was a writer and producer for CMT’s “100 Greatest Country Music Songs” and “100 Greatest Country Music Videos,” and she has produced shows and segments for cable networks A&E, Hallmark Channel, and GAC. While working as a reporter and fill-in anchor there, she earned an Emmy Award and two Emmy nominations for her stories.

Appearances and Speaking Engagements

Lindsay’s blog post, “The State of the Mommyblog” inspired a panel at BlogHer ’08, which she moderated, and which was covered by the New York Times.

She also was chosen as a keynote speaker for BlogHer ’08′s Community Keynote Address, where she read her Suburban Turmoil post about The Wiggles.

She speaks often in Nashville to various women’s groups and organizations.

She’s also a brand ambassador for Nintendo and Backyard Discovery.

Lindsay is wife to WSMV-TV reporter Dennis Ferrier, mom to a 4-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl, full-time stepmom to 18 and 20-year-old girls. Her family is currently “between pets” and she’s trying to keep it that way for as long as possible.

Lindsay attends Cross Point Community Church in Nashville. She’s on the board of the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence and she volunteers weekly at her daughter’s elementary school. In her (admittedly non-existent) spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, snow skiing, white water rafting, traveling, and doing the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle.
